And also from the RTÉ:

THREE UNIONISTS IN EFFORT TO BAN SINN FÉIN* FROM EXECUTIVE
---------------------------------------------------------------
Anti-Agreement Unionists in the North have tabled** a parliamentary motion proposing the exclusion of Sinn Féin from the Executive. It is proposed the party be excluded for one year.

The exclusion motion was lodged in the names of DUP*** MLAs***, Dr Ian Paisley and Willie McCrea, and the UKUP***** leader Robert McCartney. It claims Sinn Féin is not committed to exclusively peaceful means.

The motion will be debated on Wednesday next. A senior Sinn Féin spokesperson has said that the motion would fail as there is no basis to exclude Sinn Féin from government.
------------------------------------------------------------------

*Sinn Féin, the second largest Nationalist Party, and the one historically allied with the I.R.A.
**for Americans: "tabled" means put on the table for discussion now, not shelved for the future.
*** Democractic Unionist Party, a smaller and (imho) more right-wing party. Ian Paisley has had close ties with Bob Jones in the States.
****Members of Legislative Assembly (Northern Ireland).
*****United Kingdom Unionist Party; another even smaller unionist party.
