Or the white guy who shot up a school in Florida or the other white guy who shot up a synagogue in Pittsburgh last year. Or all the other mass shootings white guys have been doing year after year and all we keep hearing are excuses how it's not really a big deal.

I might have failed to get my thoughts across properly.

My views changed drastically since the Christchurch attack (I lived there for 3 years, I knew good folks who were Muslims or Asians) towards the Left.
And I'm just as anti-gun as anyone outside the US is.

But why is this happening now?

You can't fully separate it from the post 2008 collective anger against crony elites, and then mass immigration at the same time that taxes go up for the working class and down for the 0.001%
It's all so weird, but it isn't chaotic.

Another white terrorist stopped.

(CNN) A North Carolina college student has been arrested and charged after authorities found two guns in his dorm room and he reportedly confessed to plans to carry out a shooting.

Steber allegedly had been planning the attack since December, the district attorney's office said, according to WXII. He had recently watched videos related to the 2015 shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, in which nine people were killed so he could learn "what to do and what not to do as it related to mass shootings," the district attorney said, per WXII.

Steber decided to attend college in North Carolina because he said it was easier to obtain guns there, the district attorney's office said, according to WXII. He bought the guns over the weekend, the prosecutor's office said, and it was not immediately clear if they were purchased legally.​

It should be noted, it is easier to buy a gun in North Carolina to kill someone than it is to have an abortion to save a woman's life.

I feel it is occasionally necessary to point out that "Muslim" is not a race. Muslims are members of a specific religion and, racially and ethnically, the members of this faith are at least as diverse as Christians.

This is not a defense of Muslims. Although most members of the faith, like most people everywhere, want nothing more than to live their lives in peace, a relatively high percentage want to torture and kill and rape and enslave anybody who disagrees with them.
