What strikes me in this article is the hostility of many of her neighbors in this 300 population town towards the CNN crew doing the interview.
They have become radicalized by the falsehoods being pedaled by right wing media that these folks bath in.
Drunkenness, lack of work and a lot of time on their hands to take in propaganda from the right is a recipe for more criminal behavior from people just like this.... people being used as pawns to do the bidding of far right leaders who will not face jail time...unlike Jessica who is going to.prison
