....most people know his famous poems like 'Stopping By Woods' or 'The Road Not Taken' but I stumbled upon another great poem of him. It's short, it's simple, it's brilliant. This guy really is a genious to me, even though I'm not a native english-speaker.

'Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice,

From what I've tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favour fire,
But if I had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate,
To know that for destruction, ice,
Is also great,

And will suffice.'

Snoopy,

Ah, we meet again and as promised here's a pet for you;) :D

I love to read and the poem "Fire and Ice" is one of my favorites. As far as i am concerned this poem is a beautiful piece of work that shows both the power of his poem and his ability to combine philosophy with lyrics.

Another of his poem that I like is

"Nothing Gold Can Stay"

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
