Another Question to editing Thread.

Hello. My Problem is this.

We have only a few active Writers here in Germany. Now I was approved by ChunLee as Writer and Sub-Editor to one of his Storys. He ist busy and had not the Time to edit some real bad written Threads. I would do because I think that the Ideas that are flow so low should be promoted.
I have his permission to edit those Threads but how can I ?
As Sub-Editor I can only edit my Threads. If I edit one of the Threads of an other Writer I get the Message that the Thread is updated but nothing happens.
It made me wonder that the Edit-Field was empty when I clicked "edit thread" but that was not the Problem.
So, How can I edit Threads that are not mine in a Story that is not mine also, but if the Editor thrusted me ?
I think he did not want to give his Story away, and I dont want it. I think only that Threads should be good enough written that others have Fun reading it and maybe write sequels to it. I have respekt for the work that the Writer had invested, anyway if he can write in an good way or not.

As an Idea :
If nothing else goes should I make new versions of the Text and send it to the Editor so HE could Change it ? It should be possible but it is doubled Work.

If there is no other Solution this could be an Idea for The Chyoo 3. The Editor can give other Users the permission to edit others Threads too. If this Permission is misused he could remove the permission.

I've had the same problem, and it makes me wonder what the entire point with being a sub-editor really is.
Is there even any point with it at all?
Has it actually ever worked the way it was supposed to?
And the Pervert, I think that you should add what you've written here to the Chyoo 3 thread, bigger chance of it being noticed by those capable of doing something about the entire thing.

Wait, can stories actually have two editors(notice the lack of "sub-")?
And even if that was so, shouldn't the story's creator OK it first?

There can only be one editor. Providing the creator of the story is OK with it, or has disappeared completely, it is fine for you to assume the editor role.
