ok, so i was thinking of doing a modern pirate setting...one or two of my female friends are considering joining (using Nami and Robin from One Piece >>)

Hank Vilron
Age: 27
Occupation: Rogue, Captain
Bio: Hank is the son of a murdered officer in an Imperial navy. After finding an old island not marked on a map, he made the island his home, deciding to become a pirate. He only attacks the ships of the military his father belonged to. The man had been executed for saving the lives of poor people instead of rich people. Hank knows there are people out there who feel like him, and as such, he's offered an open invitation for rogues of all ages and persuasions. Two of them helped him from the outset. They made a ship, using stolen designs, and armed it as best as they could.

Dragonrazor, ever watched "Black Lagoon" ?

It is a hardcorishly cool anime. All action, nice plot, then more action and a killer maid... ^^

You can watch it all in Youtube, but the gist of it is this: There is a "delivery company" composed of four people and their old WWII torpedo boat. They work as mercenaries in the South Seas.

Dutch, a huge black man who uses a heavy-caliber revolver, is the boss.

Benny, a white, blond guy with glasses is the brains and electronics man.

Levi, a Chinese woman with dual pistols and a legendary (by anime standards, which is quite a lot) temper, is the "muscles".

Rock, a Japanese businessman who finds himself enrolled into this group, is the unexpected support Black Lagoon needs in the more business-orientated aspects of their missions.



Another character is Balalaika, their contact with the Russian mafia and boss (not to mention ex-Russian Army officer and Afghanistan war veteran).



Basically, the series is a lot of action, some vague character development, and then some more action with grenade launchers, pistols, machineguns... etc...

Never watched Mad Dog. I'm Spanish, so we don't get the same series.

Ro Bai Nen (Robin)
26 years old

Robin was born in China to a poor family in one of the suburban areas of Hong Kong. The family could barely afford to maintain her and her two older brothers at the same time, specially when her father lost his job at a facility dedicated to building chips for videogames consoles piracy (I'm serious here).

So, she was given a choice. Either work as a prostitute, which was bound to get her killed in a dark alleyway, or look for some other kind of job. Obviously, Ro Bai chose for the latter, and found a perfect chance for it in the People's Liberation Army. The Chinese Army.

There, she received extensive education on mechanics and tactics, although the former caught her attention more than the former. Robin was quite into it, and rather enjoyed tinkering with steel pieces and circuitry. She also had a liking to heavy weapons, and seeing her talent she was moved to the armoured divisions of the army, where her talent could be greatly exploited.

However, the downsizing of the army caught up with her. After the Cold War, the Chinese Army saw itself as an obsolete fighting force that could not compete with smaller, better quality armies, and therefore started a downsizing and modernization that saw Robin practically expelled from the army. Giving half her money to her family, which was not exactly a great boost but quite a good sum, she left for the Pacific Ocean's coasts where a woman of her talents would be very useful for a good boss...



Robin is, as most mechanics, a rugged person with a strong sense of self-worth bordering on vanity. She is more delicate with machines than with people, and it shows. She also displays a worrying affinity to heavy weapons such as missile launchers, RPGs, AT rifles, heavy machineguns and similar "work utensils".

With a curriculum of hers, it's not strange Robin got into this career...

Name:Sam
Sam had a nasty reputation in the taverns all along the eastern US sea board as somone who didn't take crap from anyone. He had been in the modern day version of the merchant marines which was actually a front for pirateering. He knew a thing or two about the sea and knew how to take what he wanted. Sam is proficient in most weapons. He also had a reputation as quite a ladies man.

Sam had gotten a letter from some guy named Hank inviting him to join her group. The letter had said something about enjoying theopen sea and going where ever the winds ould take them. Good line considering there weren't many sail boats left that would want him on board.

With his reputation, he knew what this guy was looking for.

Nami's biography: Nami is 22. Born in the United State's Midwest she had never seen the ocean before the age of 15. Her firt glance of the ocean was at night, from the high window of her hotel. She fell in love with its majesty and mystery in that very moment.

It was still years before she was able to leave her home so far from the sea and return to its call. When she was 18 she made a small home as close to the ocean as she could. Still, it was not ebough for her to just watch the ocean, she wanted to be on it, to explore it.

That was how she came to be on her first ship. She moved from one small ship to another for a couple of years, but none of them went far enough out to sea for her, and none of them gave her the adventure she yearned for.

As for the rest of her past, Nami never speaks of it, it seems t be her secret, locked away deep inside a shell of ferocious energy, and her love of the sea.

Her most prominant skill, beyond oredering others around and riling men up, is cooking. She could be a 5 star chef . . if it weren't for the fact that she got a kick out of torturing her shipmates with the most horrible concoctions she can some up with.

Name: Namamura Junichi

Age: 23

Height: 5'6

Appearance: Dresses like most HK kids, spikey black hair, dyed some redish brown streaks, a shoulder bag, stylish shorts, and shoes. He's got a G-shock watch, and a wristband with some needles on his left hand.

Weight: 65 kilograms

Occupation: acupuncturist

Story: Son of a japanese father, and a chinese mother, Junichi spent parts of his life in tokyo and parts of it in Hong Kong. Going to high school in the slums of Hong Kong, taught him to defend himself. His mother encouraged him to study some martial arts as he grew up, while his father said that he had to go into medicine. He ended up doing both. Seeing the triads fight all the time, near where he went to high school motivated him to work hard at training his body. He went back to Tokyo for college and decided not to get a degree, but studied under an acupuncurist there for a few years then went back to Hong Kong to study under someone else. After years of study, and defending himself, he took a test and got his degree in Hong Kong, then went to Japan to do the same. Finally, desperate for a job, he decided to answer the letter that was he recieved a few days ago.

Character: The virgin daughter of a military officer, based at a secret plant which manufactures weaponry (and smuggles drugs and jewels into the various surrounding countries, but Dema doesn't know that). American by birth, Dema has always lived at the base and leads a very protected life. Very naive yet very booksmart, she knows the language and customs of the place she lives and not those of home. She longs for a more interesting life... but sees no opportunity in sight.
Bio: Dema is the beautiful girl at the top of the tower, the one staring out on to the open seas and dreaming of being whisked away from her seemingly simple life on the ocean's version of a white horse. She's curious about all things - life away from her little island, and boys... and girls. She's spent many nights outside the rooms of couples, playing by herself as she listened but never saw. And just last week, she saw two kitchen wenches playing with one another... the first time she'd ever seen another woman's... *blush* private parts. She immediately went to her room, after watching the two, and brought herself to her first orgasm. Still a virgin in all ways, she's learned a thing or two about herself, but is naive about all things sexual and especially about men.
