I am celebrating by nursing sick kidlings.

What about you?

My son made me lovely card about how his love grows for me.

My daughter decorated a plant dish. So, a MaryGold is the newest edition to the family.

Then, we fingerpainted pots, made handprints and I made a stencilled little bucket for dear ole mom.

She is coming over to help me nurse the children and free me up to get to the grocery store.

So what are you doing for Mother's Day?

I am about to sit down to a breakfast made by the kids. Someone wish me luck. ;)

I have gotten flowers and cards so far.

Not to mention the early morning wake up call by Tiger.

:)

Happy Mother's Day, MissT

I am making breakfast for the Mom of the house. She's a southern belle, and wants biscuits and gravy with fried eggs.:) We are finally getting some overdo rain, so it might be one of those cuddly days:D .

motherhood is about as sexy as it gets. Hugs to all of you Moms...and even a few:p and

Cool!

What is it about motherhood that is so sexy?

I have found a number of male friends who seem to become all warm and cozy when they here me putting my daughter to bed or telling my mommy stories.

I always thought children were going to be an obstacle to my dating, but it has actually proven to be the reverse.

Oh! And none of them have been pervie peds, either.

Not all male lions are the same...LOL

For me, motherhood is something my creativity and sensitivity identifies with. I love my children. I stood at a race start yesterday, and choked up (I'm reliving it right now...sniff, sniff) when I motioned to my son and told him that I believed in him. There is nothing as moving to me as parenthood, and motherhood in particular. I think the sexiness is perhaps really more of a sensualness. TWB has a thread with a poem that says it well, too. There is such a fullness of life in motherhood...and men participate in that fufilling dimension through the sexual intimacy...the emotional connections and physical pleasures that yield tomorrow's hope.

That is so sweet Erosman

and I agree that parenthood adds layers and dimensions; among other things.

Being on the mid-upper end of parenthood (yes, I WAS a child bride) I've been pleased this weekend to simply enjoy the rarity of all 4 of my children together at the same time. (I'm lucky if this happens twice a year now)

Yesterday we gathered for #2's college graduation and since they're all in town, they'll be taking me out for a meal AFTER they get up and regroup following a very late night on the town. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the blissful peace and solitude of older children sleeping in late. The youngest is not too old yet to still bring me handmade objects -- this year a lovely clay cachepot with attached clay swirls. I keep them all.

:rose: :rose: Happy Mother's Day to you all! :rose: :rose:

I'm going up to my mom's house for Mother's Day, and I think my dad's going to order Chinese food. I bought her a card, but because I'm pretty broke, I'm going to buy her some scratch- off Lottery tickets to put in the card. I knowit doesn't sound like much, but she likes them. I'll probably get her some tickets for the next Lottery as well.

Im going to my fathers. It it his day too! He raised me and my 2 sibs after mom left. So to all the single dads HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

I am remembering my own mother who has gone from this earth.

I am celebrating the other mothers in my life who continue to do what other mothers have done before them, smile and nurture the little ones.

Don't worry lilminx, your Mom will love them. She will know where they come from. They come from your heart, that is all that matters.
