Obama’s Now Borrowed More Than All Presidents from Washington to W
By Terence P. Jeffrey
November 30, 2012

The federal government has now borrowed more money during Barack Obama’s time as president than it did in the period lasting from the time President George Washington took the oath office until July 2, 2001, more than five months into the first term of President George W. Bush.

At the close of business on Jan. 20, 2009, when President Barack Obama was inaugurated, the national debt stood at $10,626,877,048,913.08, according to the Treasury. At the close of business this Thursday, it stood at $16,323,083,449,604.98.

That means the debt has increased $5,696,206,400,691.90 during Obama’s presidency.

On July 2, 2001, more than five months after President George W. Bush entered office, the national debt was $5,693,220,327,798.14, according to the Treasury. By the close of business on July 3, 2001, it had risen to 5,698,195,769,465.40. Since then, the debt has never again dropped below $5,696,206,400,691.90—the amount it has increased in less than one full term of Obama.

Is it not milestone?

;) ;) The collective reaction to anything conservative is "stupid." Therefore all our eyes must be dotted and tees crossed while they can be Harpo ee cummings Marx...

Take Joe Biden, for example...

PLEASE!

Another one...

Obamanomics: American Households Net Worth Hit 43-Year Low…

WASHINGTON (CBS DC) – The median net worth of American households has dropped to a 43-year low as the lower and middle classes appear poorer and less stable than they have been since 1969.

According to a recent study by New York University economics professor Edward N. Wolff, median net worth is at the decades-low figure of $57,000 (in 2010 dollars). And as the numbers in his study reflect, the situation only appears worse when all the statistics are taken as a whole.

According to Wolff, between 1983 and 2010, the percentage of households with less than $10,000 in assets (using constant 1995 dollars) rose from 29.7 percent to 37.1 percent. The “less than $10,000″ figure includes the numerous households that have no assets at all, or “negative assets,” which is otherwise known as “debt.”

No real surprise there, There is a reason why he's been called "The worst American president ever"

And if McCain was elected the result would be exactly the same.

America would rather re-elect the worst president ever than a Republican. That has to sting!

Really? I do not believe I said I did not like democracy, just that America (all of it) did not re-elect.

You seem to be confusing how our democracy works with your own bias. He's not President of those who agree with him, he's President. The fact that some did not vote for him is irrelevant. He's still their President.

This is the basis of our democracy. Again, you can leave if you don't like it.

maybe you don't get it. last i heard we're still free to bitch about it, for now. we'll see if that is still true in another 4 years.

All of her problems are centrally focused on Obama, from her inability to sell her house to how frizzy her hair is on any given day.

That's not free speech, that's a psychosis.

Also, free speech applies both ways. I'm free to ask her to stfu or gtfo.

Oh my....I do feel rather sorry for you.

So much anger in the fact that I agree with nothing the potus has done, is doing, or wants to do.

My house situation will be resolved whenever the time is right for it to happen. My hair, I believe you are making up that information sir, but thank you for being interested in it.

As far as my leaving, if there is a reason to, I will, so you do not have to concern yourself about that.

Yes free speech is still free, for the time being. I am thankful I can share my view and VERY thankful that I am able to do so without cussing, insults and hatred.

I hope you have a blessed day!

The facts say that President Obama was duly elected by a majority of Americans.

I'm sure your opinion says otherwise....it usually runs contrary to facts.

I never said he was not. I never said it was not a majority (of those who voted). Just stated that "all" of America didn't vote him in, therefore assuming he has a free pass and will not receive opposing opinions nor resistance is not accurate.

yeah, it's still free for now. when the govt becomes the source of your health and well being, the dynamic shifts.

That's right, Romney won the Confederacy and some depopulated plains states. Do you have a point?

and yet, when people said the same of W (who was a far worse president), the wingnuts all demanded that we "stand by your president".

All of a sudden, those rules no longer apply apparently.

Nobody has ever assumed that after any presidential election in history. Why are you saying it?

Obama's not bigger than the Constitution. Should thinks come to pass as you anticipate, I hope there will be a revolution to reset our democracy.

And I will welcome it.

YouLieBaby04 longs for the days of supermajority rule.

As those days are gone, she's got nothing left to do but help lay the groundwork for Operation Impeach Teh Negar 2013.
