At a church in California. 1 killed, 5 wounded. No other details available yet.

And we're still dealing with yesterday's mass shooting in Buffalo.

Wasn't there a time, long ago, when a mass shooting was an unusual event?

What happened?

and how long ago was hearing that someone shot at the staff in a macD's(insert other fast food place) or attacked a flight attendant? it must have been rare before but has gone viral since trump hit the scene as a political figure. now it's an everyday occurrence.

Postal means unreliable, delayed, and in the case of mail-in ballots, fraudulent.

"I wish all Jews to hell"

Real winner this guy
Here's this from his manifesto:

“I would prefer to call myself a populist. But you can call me an ethno-nationalist eco-fascist national socialist if you want, I wouldn’t disagree with you.”

“conservativism is corporatism in disguise, I want no part of it.”

"When I was 12 I was deep into communist ideology, talk to anyone from my old highschool and ask about me and you will hear that. From age 15 to 18 however, I consistently moved farther to the right. On the political compass I fall in the mild-moderate authoritarian left category, and I would prefer to be called a populist."

Well, populism can be left, right or center. So can elitism.
And so can rubbish justification of a terrorist act.

His 'reasons' are a load of crap. It is obvious that he hated blacks enough to want to kill but his 'manifesto' doesn't explain why he was so full of hatred.

Hatred of blacks is such a commonplace, even traditional thing in America that an explanation hardly seems necessary.

In most cases, the shooter has mental health issues. Doesn't justify the act but it does help put a little perspective on the why. In terms of the frequency of mass shooting events they do seem to be on the rise. I'd have to check the FBI crime report over time to see if that is the case. With that said, the media does a good job of making sure everyone knows pretty quickly after the event. So, it might seem that shootings are on the rise or is it that we are better and more quickly informed than in the past? I don't know without doing more research.

At this point why are we still selling the narrative that the shooters have mental health issues?

Because that apparently means we don't have to question the easy access to weapons designed to kill lots of people in a hurry — never mind the complete lack of evidence that Americans are more likely to be crazy than people in any other country.

Having said that, it does appear that the shooter in this case may have gone a little haywire after being physically attacked a few years ago.
