Okay, boys, girls and those that wish to remain gender unspecific, it is time for another Foolish Same Title Challenge. Why, one might ask, is not the time for said challenge. My reply is: I don't know, I just felt like it.

Form - Any. Extra credit for Triolets. Sonnets and Sestinas are docked points...

Pendulum Swings Awry

The weight drags the golden chain along an arc drawn across the sky
back the pendulum swings and takes a twist that brings it out of line
in a catenary parabolic arch and curve, time skews and slips awry.
The weight drags the golden chain along an arc drawn across the sky
and as I watch that rhythmic slip I'm certain I can see time fly.
I doubt that this can be sort out with a bit of wax and baling twine.

Sophie! Triolets are hard to write! They're tight and don't give you a lot of leeway.

Write what suits you best. Just put the words down and then look and see what they're telling you. See? I knew you would...lol

Pay no attention to Fooly! He's just sucking up to Ange and Eve. Besides, if you want extra points all you have to do is wave a sexy pair of panties at him! He'll give you all the points you want! And they don't even have to be your panties!!

As a newly baptized word slut, I feel quasi-qualified to answer this. You can place them on the threads whenever you like, but for the fool (or whomever feels inclined that day) to bounce a review over them, you should enter your poem, entitled Pendulum Swings Awry into the submissions queue on the 15th of August for posting on the New Poems List for the 16th.

You can include a note to the webmasters in the Notes field of your submission form indicating that - This poem is part of a Same Title Challenge and should be posted on August 16, 2005. Thank you.

Please correct me if my dates are wrong.
