He could be very funny now and then, but he would highjack interesting discussions with absurd, half formed opinions which he would argue ad infinitum.

It's Norm McDonald doing an impersonation of Burt Reynolds on Saturday Night Live. There was a series of skits involving celebrities competing on Jeopardy. "Burt" would act absurdly immature and insist that his name Turd Ferguson. A Litster adopted not just the name and image, but the persona as well.
