Colonel Susan Meyers of the U.S. Space Force, stationed at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland, was relieved of her command following an email she sent to base personnel.
The email criticized Vice President JD Vance’s visit and expressed concerns that the issues discussed did not reflect the situation at Pituffik. According to official statements, Meyers was removed due to a “loss of confidence in her ability to lead.”

Another DEI left-wing nut with a chest full of administrative BS sent packing. The irony is rich. Back during the Cold War, the media would poke fun at Soviet generals who looked like walking Christmas trees with medals for “exemplary pen sharpening” or “not dying during a training exercise.” Now, we've decorated U.S. officers with rows of ribbons, many of which are for things like attending a training course or being stationed in a certain location during a specific time period. It’s not that the awards aren’t earned, but the system definitely reflects a vibe of inflation where quantity outpaces meaningful distinction. There is a significant difference between the Combat Action Ribbon and the Joint Service Achievement Medal. Some would argue it’s a symptom of the bureaucratization of the military, where paperwork, optics, and "career progression" can start to matter as much as, or even more than, combat readiness and actual warfighting experience.
