Last Place Contest

Order for coming last:

Lowest voted rating for a genuine attempt at a story multiplied by number of votes if less than 25 divided by 25.

So - if rating is 3.00 but only 12 votes the score would be

3.00 x 12 / 25 = 1.44

If rating is 3.00 but more than 25 votes, the rating stays the same.

I suggest ignoring number of reads except as a tie breaker when least number of reads would *win*.

Since the 'winner' actually wins nothing, it is pointless to cheat. To enter, all you have to do is declare your rating and votes at the time the real contest is decided.
Participation is entirely voluntary.

Og is banned from entry for life because he finds coming last too easy and is a past multiple winner of last places.

For the last place contest, 1 votes are very valuable and 5s are bombs.

I was hoping to be a contender for last place, the way the scores were looking... then the damned sweep happened!!!!

Now my lowest is The Emperor's New Suit with a respectable 4.62!

I was hit by the sweep as well.

Washed Away ended up at 4.66 with 67 votes, having lost over 20.

Variations on a Nude Theme is at 4.60 with 20 votes. By Og's patent formula that works out as 4.60 x 20/25 = 3.68 but I'm not eligible for either contest.

It may be that the Last Place story could have an H this time.

Who knows until authors declare their ratings?

First, let me just say thanks to everyone whose votes lifted me higher than I've ever been lifted before!

As I said in the 'Congratulations' thread, I've been away for a couple of days, and felt convinced I'd finish in my usual mid-table obscurity, with 4.62 for 60 votes when I looked before we left home. Whether or not I received more votes in the interim I don't know, but the sweep took me down to 54 votes. (I've noticed one vote since I checked the 54 - the 55th vote was a 2!)

I'm still rather bemused, to say the least, but I'm smiling though my bemusement. As Unsung Muse has already said, Yippee for sweeps!

As I entered late, included Celebs as a secondary category, and had tamer, more vanilla lesbian sex in my story, I am not surprised at doing as poorly as I did. Nor am I too shocked at negative feedback from some (though it was unpleasant and unfair, of course). I am just pleased and surprised at getting a red H. That's not bad for one of my milder and least typical stories, especially my first Contest entry ever, and my first ever actual Celeb tale. Congrats to kbate and the runners-up, by the way.
