Anniversary

So, coming up is Holly's and my 5th anniversary. I proposed to her sometime around midnight on Feb 19/20 of 2000 ... and since she can't wear a ring due to a cyst on her tendon in that finger, I'm buying her something that she can wear - and anklet.

In the process of shopping for one, I think I have found the perfect one, but of course, I don't want to spill anything until after she has seen it, but I did find something that I just have to share.

At Claire's of all places, I found two matching anklets. I, of course, bought them. I'm posting a pic ... what do y'all think about what I found at the teeny-bopper store?

LOL, yeah, at clair's ... I was kind of shocked.

Anyway, so we now have those that match each other, and I'm just dying to show her the one that I want to get her as her actual anniversary present ... *sqirms in chair with impatience* unfortunately, it will have to wait until tomorrow because I work tonight.

Honestly, I'm not very surprised you found something like that at Claire's. I've been buying my body jewelry there for a while and know they have some "kinky" looking items.

We've found boarderline stuff before - like the "bracelets" that we used as cuffs for a very long time when it was just the two of us ... but never seen anything quite that blatent there before LOL

big old innocent hugs and gropes Happy Anniversary Ladies. I think that makes you one of the longest term couples round here. Technobarbarian (mariposa's D) and mariposa are at 3 and half years, I think.

I was going to take Holly tomorrow to look at the anklet that I found for her .... I so am not spending over $100 on something that she doesn't really like... but the person who is training me for my new job had to trade Friday for tomorrow because of a family issue, so of course, that puts me working tomorrow evening instead of Friday ... so now I have to wait until Friday to show her ... a whole extra day *screams in frustration* I so want to show her ... I want her to see it and say "omg that's perfect" ... and because I can't yet, I wanna cry

Oh yeah ... and we've actually been a couple (as in, officially dating) for 6 years this coming June - so yeah ... we've been together for quite awhile.

She loves the matching ones that I already got for us (I've been wearing mine since I got home with them LOL). And I really do think that she will like the one that I have picked out ... but will she like it enough? The main issue is that she is in charge of our finances - if I was in charge, we would never know how much money we had ... so if she likes it, but not enough to pay the $140 or 50 that it will cost ... then I get to start over looking. But I'd really like to have it for her on our anniversary.

I ended up not getting the anklet that I wanted to get (mostly cuz they had already sold it - blah) ... but she did love the charm that I had picked out (which, thank god they still had or I would have cried) ...

It really perked her up, which was the point .. this being sick all the time is really getting her down. Hopefully we'll have a boy to take care of her soon.
