“No way!” Anna said, refusing to listen to her friends. It was a hot summer day, Anna and her friends had just came back from the mall, passing by the hill where a lone mansion stood by itself. Ever since Anna could remember, she had been told that there was a monster who lived in that mansion. Sure, when she was a kid, she believed it, even feared going up there to ask for candy on Halloween night when she was a little girl.

She had just turned 18 and such stupid legends were for babies.

“I’m not lying, Anne. They were talking about it on the news.” Her best friend Marissa exclaimed, the other girls nodded in agreement, “Somethings…up there…something not right. I’m telling you!”

“There is not. I bet it was just a …coyote or something.” Anna said, refusing to believe her friends. “There is no werewolf or beast or…whatever! Those are just stories our parents told us when we were kids, ya know to scare us.”

“Dare you to go up there then.” Marissa said

“What?” Anna pushed her black hair out of her eyes, narrowing them at Marissa. She was not seriously daring her to do something …so …so stupid, was he?

“Oh come on, if there isn’t a werewolf up there then you should have noooo problem going up there to..check the place out.”Marissa said with a mischievious grin.

“And why can’t you?” It was clear that Marissa was curious about what was really up there herself.

“Because if there is a werewolf up there…..” her voice trailed off

“Gee thanks.” Anna said, rolling her eyes, “There isn’t and I’ll prove it. If I win, you have to ummm…” Anna looked thoughtful, “you owe me twenty bucks for wasting twenty minutes of my time.”

Marissa rolled her eyes, “Fine, whatever. If I win, assuming the werewolf doesn’t kill you first, I get thirty bucks because I tried to warn you.”

The bet was made and that evening, before darkness came Anna swallowed hard as she stood before the hill, having never gone up to the scary mansion due to the rumors about the place, she shivered with a brief moment of fear. Marissa and the rest of their friends gently pushed her towards the hill, “Go on..nothing to be scared of right? It’s just a rumor.” The brunette taunted.

Anna nodded and slowly made her way up the hill, her friends staying behind, like the cowards they were.”There’s no wolf. There’s no wolf, it’s…just a rumor.” As soon as she reached the door, she knocked on it, swallowing back another ounce of fear that rushed before her.

Three hundred and six years. That had been his time on this earth. A mortal man, cursed for a mistake long since passed, all his family and friends dead and gone, utterly alone for three centuries. It had been so long now, that he barely even remembered his own name. He went by Seth Jones, these days, and even that was more for property and legal reasons. He'd had papers drawn up and forged so he could keep his house, and every thirty years or so, he 'sold' it to a new identity. It kept the local government from getting suspicious, but papers were getting harder and harder to forge these days.

Most of his wealth had been accumulated based on private investments, and it allowed him to afford food and what little utilities he required. But he was a hermit, and rightfully so. When the anger took him, so did the beast.

He spent most of his time as a normal man, who's only claim to abnormality was his immortality. But when his emotions ran too deep, he underwent... Transformations, changes that brought out the curse within him. He remembered the day vividly, but he would never tell a soul what his crime had been. Even in his library, with lifetimes worth of journals penned by his hand, the secret would not be found. He simply was cursed, and was bitter at humankind for it. There was only one thing that could break such a curse, he'd been told as it was spoken. And that would surely never happen.

He rose from his stately four-post bed as he heard a noise from outside. Someone was approaching, his ears and nose were sure of it. How dare they intrude on his home. It was always the curious, always the mockers that came to torment him. He could feel the rage building, and with it, the beast would come.

Soon, a guttural growl escaped his lips, and he leapt from his room, bound on all fours down the hall, and careened down the stairs like the monster he was. He would make them pay. This time...

Anna tapped her foot impatiently, there was still no answer, she even wondered if anyone was home. She could always go back to her group of friends and tell them nothing was there, it was true. However, some unnatural force made her stay where she was.*

She knocked again, hoping someone would answer and tell her that the whole werewolf thing was a Huuge rumor. That'd be pretty good. Anna didn't even know how to go about asking either which was going to make this whole situation awkward, extremely awkward.

"Hi, Im Anna Welsh I live down the street from you and I was wondering, you guys don't have werewolves here do you? Do you turn into a big scary monster at night?" Anna was testing out her speech to see how it sounded. The results? Like she was the crazy one.

Banging again at the door she called,"Hello? Anybody home?" She picked up the daily newspaper. This would be a good excuse as to why she was there, aside from...trying to find out if the neighbor whomever they were, was a werewolf. Anna walked around the huge mansion looking for an open window or something.

If she was going to win this bet it would be fair and square even if that meant breaking and entering. It wasn't like anyone was home anyways, Anna told herself after finding a partially open window. She slowly lifted it, making a creaky sound. Anna climbed through the window collapsing on a black couch.

Though the mansion looked deserted on the outside, the fact that the inside was clean meant someone lives there and most definitely not a wolf, because werewolves were dirty creatures.

"H-hello? Umm , I have your newspaper. It was uh... left outside. Thought I'd be a good neighbor and bring it to..."*

Her voice trailed off hearing the low, angry, posessive growl of a dog. Apparently the owner made sure no one broke in. "Oh god, please if I don't die I swear to never break and enter into another house again.. just please let me live." She silently prayed to herself.

 

[Leopald]

"H-hello? Umm , I have your newspaper. It was uh... left outside. Thought I'd be a good neighbor and bring it to..."

He cared little for the news, especially right now. The only thing prevalent in his feral mind was the intruder now collapses on his couch, inside his living room. He'd watched through bright, golden eyes as she crawled through his window. A girl, so bold, but still intruding on his home. Normal humans never understood, never respected his desire for privacy. Even this one, shoving her pretty nose where it didn't belong.

His growl was low, animalistic, because that's what he was now; a very large, very angry wolf, the mind of a man barely even there any longer. It was several moment of pacing to the side, his growl still emanating from deep in his powerful chest, before he finally lunged.

His large paws struck her shoulders and pinned the girl down, and he could smell her fear and sweat mixing as his jaw came within an inch of her trembling face. A long line of loose saliva dropped from his partially open mouth and fell across her cheek, dripping down her jaw and neck before disappearing from sight. His feral growl shifted slightly into barely tangible words, as the throat no longer designed for speech did just that.

"What are you doing here, girl!?"

He didn't even wait for a reply, before his large jaws opened and snapped shut before her face, causing the loud sound of jagged teeth slamming together to loudly report across the still room. The wind rustled through his fur, but he barely even noticed, as the only thing he even heeded was the girl pinned below him. She was the intruder, an he was of the mind to kill her. Only thing that was stopping him was the knowledge that unexplained deaths brought police investigations. It was then that he pined for the old days, when death was far more common and far less thoroughly investigated. He silently cursed technology and advancement, then growled once more, even louder, demanding his answer.

"WELL!?"

Anna couldn't believe her eyes, it was a werewolf...an actual werewolf. Right before her very eyes. If she hadn't been so worried about staying alive her first thoughts would've been that Marissa had totally won the bet. However, the only thing going through her mind at the moment was 'Am I going to make it out alive? He doesn't look like he's willing to even let me go.'

Anna was so scared that she didn't even cringe at the feel of his saliva sliding down her cheek, past her neck into her blouse drizzling down the curves of her breasts. "I...I..." she stammered, unable to even find her voice which was highly unusual for Anna.

She was normally a very bold outright speaker. That was kind of hard to do though when your life was getting ready to end. This all went back to her earlier thoughts of how exactly she was going to explain her intrusion. Now that she'd seen that he was not human she doubted he would be reasonable and not kill her especially after making a bet on the fact that he wasn't a werewolf.

Anna spoke quickly, praying that he would let her go though, "My friends and I made a bet on whether or not there was a werewolf up here and well, I guess there is and...and..." Shit! What now, "sorry to be a bother, if you let me go I won't ever bother you again. I'm sorry, just please...don't kill me! I'm sorry!" The apology was a small little squeak.

 

[Leopald]

The beast was watching her carefully, the man no longer in much control. Truth was, the transformations felt good during, but horrible after. It took entirely too much of his energy and physical strength to complete, and he usually burned through it quickly while transformed. But while he was in his modified wolf form, he felt more alive than ever.

"My friends and I made a bet on whether or not there was a werewolf up here and well, I guess there is and...and...sorry to be a bother, if you let me go I won't ever bother you again. I'm sorry, just please...don't kill me! I'm sorry!"

The adrenaline coursed through his veins and his ears drew back. So, the mortals knew, did they? Perhaps it was time to move on... It would be difficult, but he had enough money to travel and buy a new home, in a new area. somewhere less crowded, as this place once was. But he hated change, and he hated being chased away. The fire burned in his golden eyes as he contemplated what to do with this intruder, now that she had seen him and knew what he was. It was tough to consider letting her go, but even tougher considering to kill her. He loathed murder, despite his curse and his hatred of humanity. If he gave in to the desire for human blood on his hands, then he would truly be a monster forever.

"I can't let you go now," he snarled out, more spittle covering her face and neck. "If I do, you will tell everyone what you have seen here... So tell me, girl. What shall I do with you, if not kill? You certainly do smell delicious..."

His human mind was weighing options, even as his primal mind was shooting them down. He was running low on the viable ones now, and he wondered what to do. The more he wondered, the more he felt trapped, which only served to fuel his rage. In response to this, his teeth gnashed together fiercely once again, and his drool was running more freely even as he was tempted to have a meal.

Must resist...

Anna stared at the beast, fear shimmered in her eyes as more saliva covered her face. Finally, she cringed as the saliva continued sliding down her face along with her cheek. He definitely had to the look of danger on him, like he was contemplating killing her or not. If she got out of this, alive she would never take another bet that involved scary supposed myth-like creatures ever again.

"I can't let you go now," he snarled out, more spittle covering her face and neck. "If I do, you will tell everyone what you have seen here... So tell me, girl. What shall I do with you, if not kill? You certainly do smell delicious..."

"O-of course you can let me go! I-I won't tell, I promise! I swear, I mean who would believe me anyways!" Anna never gave up and this was definitely something not to give up on, this was literally a matter of life or death. What if he didn't let her go though? It didn't appear like he was going to either.

"I don't know, I could um..." Fuck, she didn't know what she could give him that would satiate his hunger or at least divert it. She looked around the house, it looked kind of dusty, not overly so. It was still a nice hou--erm mansion, "I could uh be your maid or something? I mean, if I'm gonna be trapped here, I might as well do something useful, right?"

Anna, for the first time looked into the golden eyes of the werewolf. It was a bold move, but her shimmering brown eyes managed to stay focused on looking the werewolf in the eye.

 

[Leopald]

A snarl, a large paw wrapped around her throat, and the fragile neck used to fling the girl across the room in a savage manner. He cared little as she crashed into decorative shelves and shattered artifacts and heirlooms. He was on her again as soon as she landed, his claws raking down and shredding the front of her shirt as he tried to find a hold on her body.

Though the tearing of clothing had been unintentional, his human side snapped at the site of the creamy flesh and undergarments below. It had been ages since he had a woman at all, much less one as beautiful as this. As a paw pressed against her shoulder, his eyes couldn't help but travel the exposed skin. It was a moment of weakness, he knew, but he couldn't stop himself. The quivering flesh, heaving with her breath, straining against his power. Delicious.

Suddenly, he turned away, lifting his paws from he form. This wasn't right, he couldn't allow it to continue. And the fact that he was draining his energy tapped at the back recesses of his sensible mind. He had barely any time left before he would collapse from exhaustion, as it had been to long since he changed. He couldn't afford to let her see him in his weakness. It was coming fast, now. His anger was fading, and with its absence sorrow and misery would overtake his spent form.

"Get out!" He howled, as he felt the start of his normality return. "Go! And tell no one, or-"

A scream cut off his words, as the bones cracked and shifted, fur recessed, muscles shrank, and organs moved to their rightful places. The whole ordeal took less than ten seconds, but each felt like a lifetime of pain and torture.

Now naked and exposed, he fell to his knees, with a weak, "Go..." Then he fell face-forward, unconscious.

Anna shook with terror as the werewolf growled and ran his paw down her shirt, ripping it. She didn't think it was on purpose though, at least she assumed it wasn't; unless he thought her clothes were in the way of him getting his fresh consumption of protein. The way he looked at her however told her that there was a part of him that did not want to kill her but enjoy her in other more...pleasurable ways.

Anna scrambled to stand up as the werewolf seemed to change back to human, urging her to leave. She gave him one more glance and as she readied herself to leave, the once werewolf was nothing but a ...a mere man. This was something she'd only seen in horror flicks or horror stories, but not something that actually happened in real life.

Pursing her lips, Anna wondered if she should at least take him to the couch or something. She could probably drag him there. It just seemed wrong to leave him there unconcious in his own house. Anna walked towards the curtain and peaked outside, looking down the hill. Her friends must've assumed she was dead because no one was waiting there for her to come back.

What great friends I have she thought bitterly. Turning her attention back to the werewolf, she braced herself and walked towards him, grabbing his arms, she managed to drag him towards the couch, leaving him right next to it. Being male, he was heavy and she couldn't actually pull him there. She left him there and searched through the mansion for sheets and a blanket to make a cot.

She found a sheet eventually along with a wool blanket, part of her wondering if it was made from real wool. She shuddered and pushed that thought out of her mind. Going back to the living room, she made the man a cot and pushed him onto it.

Anna wasn't sure why she was doing this, but she began dusting the house and cleaning after putting a kettle of tea on.

 

[Leopald]

The scent of a woman, so young, so vibrant. The feel of warm flesh in his hands, bodies entwined, breathless words, silent yet understood. Pleas for more, whimpers and groans, promises of pleasures to be fulfilled. A craving for the scent, the touch, the taste, rising and demonstrated. Sweat of the brow mingling lust and desire, the most powerful of drugs.

Transformation...

He bolted upright, confused by his surroundings. Green eyes flashed back and forth as he took in and struggled to place the scent. A girl. The girl. Why did his home still smell of her? And... tea?

A discovery was made upon throwing aside the wool blanket and silky sheets. He was nude. His hand rose to his forehead while his rugged face creased with pain as he struggled to remember it all. Only vague images yet, and he ran a hand through his long, dark hair in frustration. He still had the showings of a day-old beard, and probably looked every bit the part of a wild man, thrust into a strange environment. Even if it was only the strangeness of his home. He always hated himself after the beast faded and left him.

When he stood, his ears picked up noise from another room, and a whistle from a teapot began low and started to rise steadily. The silk sheets were wrapped around his waist lazily, and he held them in place by the knot while beginning to move towards the sound. Why was there tea?

Frozen in the doorway of the kitchen, his face stricken with shock. Her. Why was she still here, after seeing his curse, after he had told her to leave, to run? Yet there she was, busying herself in the kitchen, tattered shirt still evident, even though her back was turned.

He strode forward quickly, ignoring all else while his target was in his vision. His face set in anger when he turned her towards him. Confused, but determined, he wrapped fingers around her throat and pushed her against the nearest wall.

Even in his human form, he was stronger than the average mortal, though not nearly as strong as the beast. Using this strength and the grip on her throat, he lifted her slowly up the wall as her feet dangled below. His green eyes tried to ignore the open shirt, though his vivid dream, undoubtedly spurred by her scent in his sleep, still plagued his waking mind.

"Why are you still here, girl? Don't you think you've caused enough trouble? Thanks to you, I have to move on once again. And I actually liked this home..."

He stood there, sheet gripped in hand around his waist, holding her up while barely giving her enough space to breathe, while waiting for a reply.

“T-tr..ou..ble?” Anna said between breaths. It was hard to respond with his hand around her throat and the fact that she didn’t have much room for breathing. “H-have…no..t!” She insisted, though now she was really regretting not leaving. She was going to die this time and had brought it upon herself this time.

“Y-you…unconscious….wanted…to…help. Can..leave…now?” She said, her sentences and questions were still cut off sentences, full of missing words as she tried to gasp for air. The room seemed to spin around her. Honestly, she didn’t think he would make such a big deal, she was going to leave after the tea was ready.

But you didn’t just leave a guy unconscious in his own home. What if he hadn’t lived and since she was the last person in here, she would’ve been accused of murder even though she hadn’t done a thing to murder him. “D-don’t…have…to leave…y-you…c-can…st—“ the room had begun to spin more and more. Dear god, she was going to faint now, wasn’t she?

The answer to her question was provided with pure blackness. She had been trying to talk too much, not allowing herself to breath in between her sentences causing a lack of oxygen. If she got out of this, Anna knew that she would probably not make another bet with Marissa. Damn that bitch!

 

[Leopald]

The man known as Seth sighed heavily. His fingers held her up as she seemed to lose consciousness. This was all he needed, a passed out girl in his home. He couldn't just leave her outside, so she was stuck here for a bit longer.

The girl was flung over his shoulder gently, and he carried her towards the stairs. His bare feet trudged upstairs slowly, barely caring about the noise, though he usually preferred to be silent when moving. It was the frustration of this intruding girl that caused him to just not care at the moment. She should have been gone before he'd woken up. She shouldn't even have come here in the first place, but here she was. And there was nothing he could do about it.

They entered the stately bedroom and he quickly crossed the floor. Then she was dumped onto the bed, and he turned on his heel and started to leave. But he paused at the door, looking back at her through the corner of his eye. Then he walked back and pulled a spare shirt out of his closet, pulling it over her torso, covering the torn top she had on.

A few minutes later, he was back in the kitchen, sipping fresh tea, frowning as he waited for the strange girl to wake up.

As he stood there, taking solace in the fresh tea, he contemplated his options. He could leave the house behind, start fresh... But this was his investment. And it would be tough moving on this time, with documentation these days. His head shook slowly, trying to decide what to do now. Could he trust her not to tell? He hardly knew anything about her, how could he be certain?

He had no idea what to do now...

A short time later, Anna's eyes fluttered open. The first thing that came to mind was, this was not her bedroom. As she looked down at her shirt, the second thing that came to mind was, this was not her shirt. It was a man's shirt, a very nice dress shirt too.

"Where am I?" she mumbled to herself. It took her a minute to realize where she was. She vaguely remembered that she was in the werewolf's mansion, he'd passed out as he was quickly turning back into a human. She glanced out the window. Apparently, it wasn't the moonlight that made him change to one either, maybe it made him change back?

She wasn't sure but she remembered how upset he'd been with her prescence, how he claimed he needed to leave because everyone would know about him. Anna didn't want him to feel like he had to leave, this was his house after all. She stumbled out of the bed and looked down.

Anna hadn't meant to cause any trouble. She headed down the stairs, now face to face with the man who had been a werewolf. He wasn't that bad looking either. Blushing at the thought, she continued her way down the steps and then smiled at the man.

"I'm so sorry for intruding and please don't feel like you have to leave. I won't say a thing...I promise. Anyways, I should go. If you want, I can bring you back your shirt later...or if thats not a good idea, I could just take it off and go."

Though that last option was probably a bad idea since if she left without the shirt covering her ripped shirt, people might get suspicious.

 

[Leopald]

The girl was trying to assure him that she wouldn't tell anyone, but he was having a hard time believing it. Why should she be expected to keep her mouth shut about this? It was a big deal to mortals, even though he wasn't a werewolf in the traditional sense, as he hadn't been bitten, nor could he pass it on to others. But he still personified the stuff of legends, of myths, he was the proof that it was possible, and probably the source of many stories. He didn't care, he just wanted piece.

He stepped in front of the girl, his face set in a determined gaze, as he slowly breathed in her scent, committing it to memory. Not a difficult task, as she smelled... Sensuous. Very unique, and quite pleasant.

"If I find out you have told anyone, I swear I will find you and make a meal of you, girl. Now leave, and never return..."

He turned away quickly, and took another sip of his tea. Then a pause, and his eyes closed as he tried to come up with the words now. This was going to be difficult, it had been a long time since he'd had to do this.

"And... Thank you... for the tea."

Anna watched as the man slowly walked towards her, in a threatening, yet non-threatening way. She swallowed hard, he was going to kill her now wasn't he? That's why he was smelling her, he wanted to know what his meal smelled like before he devoured her. He was going to kill her, slice up her body, and then freeze part of it for breakfast, lunch, and--
"If I find out you have told anyone, I swear I will find you and make a meal of you, girl. Now leave, and never return..."

Or not. She let out a silent sigh of relief. He was letting her go, thank god! However, it occurred to her that he didn’t want his shirt back. Why? She wondered. Anna slowly nodded her head and started for the door but not before hearing the soft, thank you for the tea. It seemed like he was almost hesitant to thank her though. For a moment, she turned and smiled, "You're welcome...um...bye."

More questions that she wanted answered but probably would never have answered.

Once she was out of the mansion, she turned to look once more at the door. Sighing, she walked downhill, back to her house. When she arrived home, her mother nearly tackled her with hugs. “Oh my gosh! Marissa told me you were kidnapped and probably killed. Where were you? Why were you gone so long? Why are you wearing a man’s shirt?”

Anna rolled her eyes and pushed her dark hair out of her eyes, “I’m fine. I wasn’t killed. I ….went to my boyfriends house. Hence why I’m wearing a guy’s shirt. Mine was ripped, and don’t ask me how because you don’t want to know.” She said, acting as though the reason her blouse had been ripped was because she was being a naughty girl.

Her mom zipped her lip and turned back to the kitchen to finish dinner.
Thank god, she was heading to college soon. Later on that day, she called Marissa on her cellphone.

“Oh my god, I thought you’d been killed or something by some psycho. Anyways, never mind that. What happened? Was there really a werewolf up there? Come onnn dish!”

“What?! No, no there was no werewolf.” The last thing she needed was for someone to find out from her and she get killed.

“Then why the hell were you up there for so long?”

“Wanted to scare you, that’s all. Afterwards, I went to Jason’s house.” Anna lied smoothly.

The next morning, Anna did the worse thing she could’ve possibly thought to do. It was around 8 in the morning, her whole house was asleep. No one would find her and well, she couldn’t just keep the guy’s shirt. She was at least eighty percent certain that he didn’t want her to keep the shirt and she didn’t want to keep the top. She would just drop it off at his door, not even knock or…climb through any windows.

Once she was at the top of the hill, Anna folded the shirt and set it down on the front door step. “There, now I won’t feel like I’m stealing some guys shirt.” She said to herself as she started to leave.

 

[Leopald]

She was gone. The scent lingered, but she was gone. The cursed man stood there for several minutes after she had walked out the front door, as if unsure of what to do next. The tea was still warm, though not nearly as much as it had been, but he wasn't in the mood for any more. A heavy sigh. Her scent lingered still.

Finally, he moved as if in a trance towards the stairs, then climbed slowly. His green eyes never shifted as his feet trudged heavily. In his centuries, nobody had ever accepted his curse before. They had all screamed and run, only to find frightened friends to hunt after him, chase him away or try and kill him. He had sensed fear in her, sure. Even smelled it. But not the same type that usually came with the knowledge of his curse. He reached his chambers and strode to the bed.

Why was she different? What had it been that separated her from the dozens before who had stumbled upon his secret? He didn't understand, and he didn't like not knowing.

As he collapsed into the messed-up bed, he breathed deeply, then rolled over and swore under his breath. Of course her scent was strongest here. Why had he laid her in his bed? Now, as he tried to calm his mind and sleep, all he could see was her. It had been a mistake, but something was wrong. He felt like...like he...missed her? That couldn't be right. Could it?

After hours of turmoil and tossing, he finally fell into light sleep.

Someone at the door. He sat up straight, the sun pouring into his room through the light curtains that were closed over the tall windows. He sensed a presence. Was it her? Or was that scent just the remnants of her stay last night? Couldn't be her.

He padded across the bare floor and moved a curtain to the side to peer out the window. She was moving back down the path towards the street, and his heart skipped a beat. He had to know.

In a sprint, he tore across the room, grabbing a simple robe and throwing it around him as he made his way down the hall and down the stairs. His feet carried him swiftly to the door, which he unlocked and threw open.

"You!" He called out. "Come here, please..."

Anna had to repeat to herself, keep walking, keep walking, keep walking, like a mantra because for some stupid reason, she had this urge to...stay. God, she was an idiot, such a fucking idiot! Such a fucking stupid---

"You!" He called out. "Come here, please..."

"Shit!" she hissed, he'd seen her. She was trying her hardest not to be seen, to be as silent as possible, because it was clear that he didn't want her there. Taking a deep breath, Anna slowly turned around and forced a smile, "Hi! It's....me again."

Now what?

She looked at his shirt that still laid on the porch, "Um, I just came to return your shirt, thats all. I know you said, don't come back blah blah blah...but um ya see, I couldn't keep your shirt, I don't really need a button up business shirt for a guy...and well, if I gave it to someone I knew..." dear god she was rambling, shut up, just shut the fuck up!!! she told herself but kept talking, " Well, they'd wondered where I got the shirt since I don't have any brothers.."

Anna, shut up! It's clear he doesn't care, her conscience told her. Yet, she still continued, "And I figured since its such a nice shirt it probably cost a bit more money then something you'd buy at Walmart....."

She ended up stopping her useless rambling there, feeling like a complete and total idiot. "So...um, I'll just go now?"

 

[Leopald]

His eyes closed as she rambled on. Maybe this was a bad idea, after all. He wasn't sure what he'd been thinking anyways, even considering what he was about to do. But he sighed heavily and reconsidered. Of course she couldn't keep the shirt, it wouldn't have made sense for her to. He waved dismissively and began speaking as soon as she was done.

"No... Stay for a few minutes. Come in, please." He led the way inside and motioned towards an empty seat on the very couch she had fallen onto when they met. "I was... wondering if you would like to earn some money... cleaning for me, every few days." He could barely look at her as he spoke.

He had enough money to pay her rather well for a while, and the truth was that it would be nice for some company from time to time. It had been far too long since he'd had any companionship, and the truth was, he missed it. Though, admitting as such would never happen.

"I'll understand if you can't. Its just... Well, you offered, and I thought about it some, and I could use the help. If you're... comfortable with it." Three hundred year old werewolf, nervous to talk to a woman barely out of childhood. What was wrong with him? Of course she was likely to say no. And he couldn't blame her for it. After all, she had seen his curse, and even without, he was rude and antisocial at best. He'd spent so long alone that he just no longer remembered how to be polite and social.

Turning away, he waited for her negative response.

Anna blinked in shock, that had certainly not been something she had been something she'd been expecting. She staring at his retreating form. For a moment it took a moment for her to comprehend what was going on. He was offering her a job...as a maid. He was offering her a job...as a maid...Yes, she was repeating this in her mind.

"Really?" Anna said, softly. She was still trying to grasp the whole situation as calmyly as she could. She couldn't believe it. Anna was certain that he would be upset that he would upset that she had returned. "You're not mad, that I'm back? I'm mean, I'm glad your're mad. don't get wrong. I just...don't get..it.."

Anna frowned, tilted her looking at him.

"I'd love to the job though! It sounds fun! " Anna said with a kind smile, showing no fear.

 

[Leopald]

The man looked at her, genuinely surprised that she accepted his offer. A soft smile crossed his lips briefly, then faded as he decided it was time to give her at least something to call him, other than the Werewolf. It simply wouldn't do to have her wandering around calling him that all the time. He stared up at the ceiling, trying to remember his alias at the moment, then green eyes settled on her once more as he spoke.

"Seth Jones. I would offer you my hand, but I sincerely doubt that its possible to get any more acquainted than we have gotten already. Well, aside from..." He trailed off, attempting to push that image out of his head, but he couldn't help but stare hungrily at her, without even realizing it. He snapped his gaze quickly, as soon as he realized that he was staring, and cleared his throat quickly. "So, we'll have to work out your schedule, and your pay. Just let me know what seems fair, and how often you can be here..."

He was out of things to say now, and he focused on her scent once again. It was just so soft and elegant, and he found himself wondering what she smelled like in the heat of passion. His eyes were almost glazed over now, as he started to zone in his imagination once more.

Delicious, in so many different ways than before...

He had the most entrancing green eyes, she could probably drown in them if she stared into them long enough. She quickly shook that thought away though, because if she was going to be working for him it would probably be best not to get romantically or sexually involved. Anna focused her attention back on the conversation.

Had she even told him her name? She doubted it, what with being chased out of his house by him, bringing him to a conscious level, then fainting herself, then getting kicked out of his house again. No time to actually introduce herself.

"Anna, Anna Hawkins." She blushed at his statement after he introduced himself. Well, at least she knew his name. It would be kind of awkward calling him werewolf all the time, though she probably would've made some catchy nickname like wolfie or ...no that was it!

What'd he say?

"Huh? Oh my schedule, right yeah. Um, well since school was just let out for the summer and I don't start college until the beginning of September, I'm pretty much free."

He seemed to be dazing out.

"Um, Seth? Did you hear me?"

 

[Leopald]

His eyes snapped to hers as she seemed to notice his mind wandering. A slight frown, and broken gaze as he stared down and to the right while he replied. "Yeah, I'm just fine... I guess you can get started right away, if you have nothing else planned today. In either case, let me show you where the closet is with all the cleaning supplies..." He trailed off as he motioned for her to follow, and led the way towards a hall closet.

Upon opening the door, he continued. "This should be everything you need. Broom, mop, duster, towels, glass and floor cleaner, wood treatment, sponges... If you can't find something, just let me know."

He turned and walked off quickly. It seemed rude, but he didn't care. He just had to get away from her scent, and the thoughts and desires threatening to overwhelm him. What was wrong with him? He was battling to push images of taking and ravishing this woman out of his head. He wasn't normally like this, but it had been so long... Too long. He didn't want to think about his last lover, and he realized this girl probably had no interest in such things with him.

Large bounding steps carried him quickly up the stairs, his heart pounding now. The beast within may not show itself when faced with passion, but it certainly seemed to boil beneath the surface at times. As soon as he was in his room, he stripped off his robe and grabbed a pair of loose pants, sliding them on quickly. Then he was face first on the ground, his muscles rippling as his arms and chest worked to push himself up over and over, completing dozens of reps at a furious pace. He had to work off this aggression before it got the best of him, before he took advantage of her, before it drove him mad. The exercise was all he could think of to focus his mind and body on controlling the beast.

After push-ups, crunches, some vigorous cardio, and a bout on his pull-up bar (that he hung from the door frame), he stood in silence, breathing heavily, letting his heart rate return to normal. The beat pounded in his ears while the light sheen of sweat covered his flesh.

And still, her scent remained.

Anna nodded, following him as he led her towards the hall closet which apparently held all the cleaning supplies. While he talked about what sorts of things were in the closet, she wondered why exactly she'd taken the job to begin with. Maybe, she just felt bad that the guy was alone. She supposed the better question was why did he offer the job in the first place?

"If you can't find something, just let me know."

"Alright, sounds good. Where do I--" her voice trailed off as Seth practically bolted from the room like she were some deadly disease. "Okay, guess I'll start anywhere, then huh?" She paused and deepened her voice, slightly mocking him" 'Yes, Anna. That would be lovely. Thank you so much for cleaning up after me. It's so nice to see kids like you being nice to an old man like me' " Anna snickered to herself silently and began cleaning in the living room since thats where she was.

As she cleaned the front room, mopping the hallways and the living room, dusting, and wiping off tables. She looked around. The mansion was definitely big and there was alot to clean. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to finish that day.

Anna lifted her eyes up towards the stairs where Seth had bolted off to and wondered if she should tell him. That was one choice, or she could just stay a tad bit late and finish. Unsure if Seth would be angry and she didn't want to upset him as she had last time, Anna decided the latter choice was best.

However, she felt the need to at least go upstairs and let him know that she may stay late. She hesitated though, unsure of the whys. If she could finish her cleaning and then leave, that could work. Couldn't it? It sounded right.

Of course, things that sound right never work out just as you plan. Four hours later, Anna had collapsed on the couch from exhaustion, the ability to move had left her rather quickly. God, the mansion was huge and beautiful but it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in 200 years. She'd finished though, but her legs were sore.

She closed her eyes for a little bit, she'd rest and then leave. She'd only stay for 5 minutes more.
