You know I just remembered watching an anime based on Street Fighter 2 when I was younger. For the time it was pretty cool. (Especially since Jean-claude van-damme was no where to be seen in it.)

There was a series as well as a handful of movies...what's even more funny is the live action version of Fists of the North Star trhat I have on VHS somewhere...

Live action FONS? Wow, I didn't even know that existed. I've seen a few minutes of anime for it though that was pretty wicked.

I'd seen the movie in college and played the video game (still have it for gameboy somewhere) but when I was checking out anime at some store I found it!!! It's hysterical to watch...Any live action anime tends to be...

Then again, I've seen shots from live action La Blue Girl around somewhere...Live Action Tenticles????

Well, I guess to complete my list I've also seen:
Blood:The last Vampire
Ninja Scroll (Movie not series)
Wrath of the Ninja
Countdown
Saiyuki (Not sure I spelled this right)
Ghost in the Shell
Fatal Fury

and that's really all I remember at the moment. But I do like it, and would probably watch more if time allowed.

I consider the live action Fist to be a non-movie, like Troll 2...

that seemed really incomplete, and missing something to me. I didn't enjoy it. Maybe it was just overhyped.

And I agree, the Street Fighter 2 movie was very well done. I should find a DVD copy of that somewhere.

Angel Cop miniseries is another that I loved the first time I saw it, and then liked it less and less with each viewing. I didn't even finish it the last time I tried.

Yeah, I only watched it once, and it felt really short and the characters were paper thin. I keep hoping they'll make another Vampire Hunter D movie. Or an anime based on Castlevania:Symphony of the night. Either would be great in my opinion.

As for SF, check Wal-mart. Ours down here has a street fighter anime set for $19.99, I'm just not sure if it's the series Lynx mentioned earlier or the movie.

Blood:The last Vampire

Interesting thing about that movie...look closely, it actually looks like it's supposed to read "Blood II :The Last Vampire" and if taken in that light maybe a lot of the backstory behind the characters is in there...

At least that's what I used to think, when low and behold, two weeks ago I'm watching Adult Swim on Saturday Night (Anime night ) and a new series jumps on at the 12:30 tims slot...None other than "Blood"!!! So far it looks interesting!


As for cataloguing all of the anime movies or shows I've seen, I don't think I could...LoL...a couple of summers in a row, I had an unlimited rental plan for Blockbuster, so I went out and rented movies daily...Well, I went through their entire anime section...

And yes, live action La Blue Girl...a comic shop near us actually had it on the shelves (they sold a little porn and hentai as well)...Makes me wish I'd gotten it before they closed...but maybe their new incarnation has it...I'm just curious in general...Yes, I have something of a twisted mind...
And live FotNS wasn't bad, it just wasn't very good...about on par with a lot of the kung fu movies really...
