I've only bought 3 so far and they're all from the same series. They are basicly useless but I like owning them for some reason. The ones I have bought (read: the ones I can afford) will never become real collectors items and will not go up in value but I buy them all the same. Here's my latest:

Anybody else ever buy any?

I own several disny cels and one from the Animae show Captain harlock. I'd really like one or two from Robotech, but they were insane last time I was at a con.

That's the problem with buying the mainstream or really popular show/movie cels, the prices are insane. Even for some of the less popular shows the cels go for anywhere from $50-$500. For very collectable cels the prices climb quickly into the thousands. So far my most expensive have been about $35 or so. I can't afford to be a serious collector.

I love anime - you collect whatever the hell you want to!! LOL If you are not in it for the value but the artisry then collcet whatever the hell you want - (wanna share ur pix?) :)

the ones I really like, Starbalzers, Captain harlock and Robotec, both Macross and Southern cross are all fairly expensive, but you occasionally get a good deal at the cons.

I've never made it to one of the conventions. All of my purchases have been on ebay. I really do have to go to a convention soon but I don't even know when they are in my area. I'm not in the loop.

Edited to add: And I'd love some from Starblazers. I loved that series as a kid. I'd also like some from a few of the more... um... shal we say, naughty series. (Read: Hentai. No tentacles though. )

How can you have hentai without tentacles? Isn't that like caffine free coffee? :)

Personally, I've always preferd the 'Prepubescent girls have kinky sex in space' as opposed to the 'Prepubescent girls get attacked by slimy tentacled demon'. Maybe I'm just strange. :D
