part one came out yesterday and im sure maybe lots of people won't know what they are but they are 14 (something like that) animated preludes of the matrix films

they are written by the wachowski brothers and are meant to be a big deal

im downloading the first one now (140 megs) so don't give out any spoilers if you've seen it ... i know its only 9mins long

Part 2 and 3 are up now. As well as a trailer for the entire thing. Man this keeps getting better and better.

"Program" is so my favorite of the three.

Wish I could see "Flight.." but the DVD will be out soon enough.

Dumb question here.

But are they showing the AniMatrix as a preview for the movie, in theatres?

I saw one the other night and I thought it was fantastic. So beautifully done I had to keep looking to assure myself that they weren't real people.

The Animatrix is a collection of 8 short animated films that will be releaced in the next month or so on DVD.

Each of the stories 'expands' on the theme of the movie itself..

Was it at a showing of "Dreamcatcher"?

It must have been Dreamcatcher.

Dreamcatcher is a Warner Brothers movie, so to promote the Animatrix (and the Matrix itself) they showed "Final Flight Of The Orisis"
