When feelings are too deep for words, my heart will speak to the conscious part of me through the words of a song.
Since Tuesday I've been singing both of these.

NEW WORLD (Dave Cousins)
There's blood in the dust
Where the city's heart beats
The children play games
That they take from the streets
How can you teach when you've so much to learn?
May you turn, May you turn, May you turn, May you turn
In your grave
New world.

There is hate in your eyes
I have seen it before
Planning destruction
Behind the locked door
Were you the coward who fired the last shot?
May you rot, May you rot, May you rot, May you rot
In your grave
New world.

There is death in the air
With the lights growing dim
As those who survive
Sing a desperate hymn
Pray that God grants you one final request
May you rest, May you rest, May you rest, May you rest
In your grave
New world.

MY RAINBOW RACE

Chorus:
One blue sky above us
One ocean lapping all our shore
One earth so green and round
Who could ask for more
And because I love you
I'll give it one more try
To show my rainbow race
It's too soon to die.

1. Some folks want to be like an ostrich,
Bury their heads in the sand.
Some hope that plastic dreams
Can unclench all those greedy hands.
Some hope to take the easy way:
Poisons, bombs. They think we need 'em.
Don't you know you can't kill all the unbelievers?
There's no shortcut to freedom.
(Repeat chorus)

Anger's part of the grieving process. People need to get past that stage in order to start feeling better. But anger makes you feel good, it stops you feeling so impotent, so helpless in the face of terrible things which you have no control over. It let's all those mixed-up emotions out that you don't even have a name for. It projects all that horrible pain and anguish outward so that you don't have to face it in yourself. Because of that little brief surge of energy which anger gives you, it's very easy to get stuck there. But it's not good for you and it's not good for the people around you. It's much healthier to start looking at and confronting all those emotions hiding behind the anger.

Having said that - Fuck The Lot Of You!!! You're All A Bunch Of Bloody Fuckers!!!!! :)
