God help us all. This is the same title challenge. I'm doing Travolta zombies, so no one steal my idea!

Post your creations on Sunday, Dec 7th so they show up on Monday the 8th.

Do what you want with the poem--just call it Disco Inferno.

Now let's get down and funky. Go watch Saturday Night Fever. Listen to some sister sledge.

Does anyone have a disco ball I can borrow? I'll be dancing alone in my room tonight.

Ok, what's the difference between:

'a public dance hall for dancing to recorded' 'popular dance music, especially of the late 1970s, characterized by strong repetitive bass rhythms'

and

'a place or condition suggestive of hell, especially with respect to human suffering'?

uh oh, maybe I should be embarrassed that I am a closet disco freak and i actually own a copy of Saturday Night Fever..its on the shelf next to a well worn copy of Rammstein, Live Aus Berlin...

can I play too?

In Dante's Inferno there are nine levels. Sounds a closer match to disco than merely seven...
I was thinking about the lesser known levels. Lucky's Seven levels of discomfort.

I think you might be right, Lauren :D and thats one kinky music video, ever see it?

oh yeah, I finished my poem, and its what, eight days till posting? in that much time I will work on it till its not fit to post :p

Disco you say? Okeydokey.

*off to dig through my uncle's record stash*

That's an age lost on me. I was born in the middle of the disco era. By hippies, who couldn't care less.

I'm actually one of the few swedes who are kind of ashamed over ABBA. We'll see where this takes us... :)

oh god

Why does it have to be *my* disco inferno? Boy I turn off my computer for a few short hours and just look! Well I'm in; burn, baby, burn.

And this title will be posted the day before my son's 16th birthday, when he will immediately rush to the local authorities to apply for his driver's license (well, learner's permit), and what's more he wants me to teach him because he says "Mom, you're always so calm." Oh sure. I'm calm *now*.

Anyway, a big chaotic party with loud music that I hate seems the very way to usher that in. :D

after rowdy ted, you'd think I'd have learned to just shut up....

We only do this because we love you. I know, it's a peculiar way of expressing it, but hey, we're a peculiar lot.

Disco Inferno

Disco Inferno
By The Trammps

Burn baby burn! Burn baby burn! Burn baby burn! Burn baby burn!
Burnin'!

To mass fires, yes! One hundred stories high
People gettin' loose y’all gettin' down on the roof - Do you hear?
(the folks are flaming) Folks were screamin' - out of control
It was so entertainin' - when the boogie started to explode
I heard somebody say

Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burnin'!

Satisfaction (uhu hu hu) came in the chain reaction
(burnin') I couldn't get enough, (till I had to self-destroy) so I had to
self destruct, (uhu hu hu)
The heat was on (burnin’), rising to the top, huh!
Everybody's goin' strong (uhu hu hu)
And that is when my spark got hot
I heard somebody say

Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down, yoh!
Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burnin'!

Up above my head I hear music in the air - I hear music!
That makes me know there's (somebody) a promise somewhere

Satisfaction came in a chain reaction - Do you hear?
I couldn't get enough, so I had to self destruct,
The heat was on, rising to the top
Everybody's goin' strong
That is when my spark got hot
I heard somebody say

Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno! (Aah yeah!)
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno, yeah!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burnin’!

I just can't stop
When(till) my spark gets hot
Just can't stop
When my spark gets hot

Burning, burning, burning, burning...

Ain't poetry fun? :p

love,
Angeline "oh god i hate this music" Whatevermylastnameis
