Why does that just sound so sexily dirty, filthy and hardcore? Poem anyone?

I would challenge a poem called Angeline's Box, but MET's box is just as good, albeit a different kinda poem.

I think there's something wrong with the pm function tonight. I tried to send you one and got the same message. Couldn't send one to ee either (I was testing it) and I know he has space to receive messages cause I just checked on the other computer.

Angeline's (a modern Pandora) Box

the lid stays closed
lest all the ills
to be visited on man
be loosed

but a thing of beauty
yet remains
it's shining lining
in a silver cloud

a warm breeze
to thaw a winter
frozen for too long

set free these woes
and let trouble
land where it may

the one bright remnant
will still be ready
to shed a light
on our darkness

hope springs eternal.

It holds dust,
like a corner table--
layers stirred by wonder,
but inside,
secrets lie unmoved.

Fingers spread the flaps,
nearly open a mystery,
until day catches her name, lightly
inked on one side.

I'll never know the contents
of Angeline's box.
