Looking for a story about a young man who comes across an (female) angel and a (female) demon strung up in a church and being tortured (the demon has had her wings torn off already) in a church by a priest who is trying to gain control of the angel and the demon. The young man rescues both and they become beholding to him. The angel ends up being assigned as his Guardian Angel (both the angel and demon have their own affair along with the mortal man). It's a long story (multi-part post) and might be under Romance, or Novel, or Sci-Fi/Fantasy.
