In America, we had Pictures of Matchstick Men on the radio.Still in a child's frame of mind, I found the song fascinating.So much lighter and fun, than the Rolling Stones's "2000 Light Years from Home," though just as strange and interesting.

With him, goes a piece of my childhood.

I often wonder where they would have been if they had followed the Psychedelic Rock line. Most people forget Like ice in the sun.
 
It was a particular moment in history, and the exploration of music. There was an explosion of bands following that experimental period. You know what the American music industry was like, at the time. Local money changed between local hands.
