The 8th Literotica Annual Awards concluded this morning. Top vote-getters in the poetry categories are:

Most Influential Poet: Vampiredust

Best Erotic Poetry: Jamison, Concerto No. 69

Best Illustrated Poetry: 4degrees, d-tach 2.0

Best Non-Erotic Poetry: Nirvanadragones, Lament

Best Poetry With Audio: Decayed Angel, Vertical Blinds

Congratulations to all the winners and nominees! Vampiredust, here is your corsage and your crown and sceptor. Did anyone tell you that the winner gets to write a sestina and three villanelles? :p

And, on a personal vote, heartfelt thanks to all of you who voted for my non-erotic poem Mine. As those of you who've read the poem know, I won the best award of all: the love of my life who I met right here on the poetry forum. That's a prize I get to keep forever.

Congrats to the winners, especially to Chris — you truly deserved it — I remember when it seemed for weeks on end that you were the only one doing the new poems reviews. You were so very active that it seemed you were the PF&D forum.

You can be a Cylon too!

If it means being on your side, yes. :D

Can we make our first target that spammer who keeps coming here and advertising cameras? I've had to move his threads three times since yesterday. (I sent him a nasty pm with the last one. . .your poetry moderator at service, lol)

One day, I was moving his spam at the same time you were. You moved it a second before I did. God, we're really on the job, aren't we? I don't think there's enough to do around here... :D

Is a cylon one of those star trek creatures, or what?

Congratulations Poets. I didn't vote but I followed the contest. You all were deserving of a win. Thanks for giving us your poetry. LOL.. only 7 more months to the next round.

Thank you ladies {Ange & Eve} for being so quick about taking out the garbage. From the way all traces have since disappeared, I assume Laurel got involved as well. Good riddance.

I don't know if this will be the end of the poster or not. I removed the first two spam threads he created and then, after removing the last one this morning, pmed him to remind him that spamming violates forum guidelines and that be might be banned if he continues it--so we shall see!

I found it's a lot more fun to merge all the threads the guy creates and then dump them all at once. And it's also a lot more confusing for the two of you if you're trying to get rid of them at the same time, which is an added bonus. :catroar:

Don't you have to go take an exam or something? :D

Hey I am late but sincere in my congratulations! VD you really do embrace what I consider the most influential poet-- your activity here does impact everyone on the boards in a tangible way. Congrats! And of course, super thanks to the Moderators who are super duper influential as well, and do not always get the credit they deserve :)

And congrats to the selected poems! right on!

A guy next door got freaked out by my big, galloomping puppy, Cooper. He said, "Could you please call your dog, or something?"

I tried, my puppy wouldn't answer. Sheesh even a six month old knows his name is not Orsomething.

I want a big gallomping puppy again (used to have a shepherd-great dane mix named Shakespeare). What breed is Cooper?

Congratulations to everyone who won !!

and to us for being blessed with so many talented poets and such

hugs and kisses all around :)

I took an exam on Monday. It involved strapping a number of sensors and battery packs to my abdomen so that I looked as much as possible as a suicide bomber, and the swallowing a camera pill. It was an easy-to-take exam. All I had to do for eight hours was to keep an eye on the blinking light to make sure it didn't stop. If it had, I think that it meant the thing would go off and kill everyone in a 2-block radius.

oh my god you really are a cylon!

any chance the video of your insides will be available on UTube?

all kidding aside, I hope you pass your tests :) it sounds more like torture! 8 hours? Did you sing any ditties?
