What do RPG do you want to start, see started, would enjoy joining on the ORP?

Gonna make this a "New thread ideas" thread? I think we're do one here.

I did one about a year ago, so I'd say "yah" to that! lol.

Ok, so I'm thinking....

Post-Day After Tomorrow or Post-28 Days type world and a crack team of savengers who go after the art treasures (or heck, just treasure) to save them from ruin and line the pockets with pretties.....

(I miss my spelling program.)

Out of all the threads I've been in- the Pillow Pit and IOU University are my faves with The Seven Gods by Lady Rosez in a close third.

The new thread was rather amusing too while it lasted.

I'd like to see a nice little horror game last in this forum.

something dark...and scarey,and ebil>_>

what?are you expectin somehting else>_>

*Grabs Dt, throws him face first, steps on his lower bacl, and points the edge on blade at his butt-hol* wanna take that back jack?

Yeah, we should get something new together. Who's got some ideas rolling around?
I like the team of scavengers, we could have some fun with that.

Team of scavengers? So an animal thread like the lion king! Except we are all Vultures picking at a dead corpse, perhaps a news show. Reviewing old dead threads, starting with with first thread that died in here with over 100 posts. We could read it and document what we thought happened at one time as we use are sharp beaks and featherless necks to prob deep in the greatly rotten corpse of the thread to reduce it to the bare bones of it's forgotten heritage! We can make a day trip of it and everything. Like picnic! What type of sandwiches do you guys like?

Had I known I was going to post this I would of voted other.

Whoah... hey
(puts on sunglasses)

Cats, dude, turn down the sarcasm, seriously. A couple of notches will work. Jeez. I've heard the term dripping with sarcasm, but you're fucking soaked dude.

What do you propose Cats? You must have an idea swimming around, you seemed to shoot down the only one in here? Something you've been wanting to play?

I wasn't shooting it down. I was simply trying to comment but ended up with may actually be a half decent idea except for the vulture thing.

Seriously, the news and talk show threads weren't to bad, they had room for improvement, but it still was fun.

I am proposeing a serious thread about discusing threads that have died. I am ratehr curious about tehse threads that were done by people I entirely don't know.

I think it would be fun to go and see a few things and place guesses on say why the ended or what caused this event to ocure on the second page. Also to say that post was really good and compliment what the writer did to make it such a powerful or needed post.

Although I am normaly driping with sarcasm that post was half serious. Although starting with the Scavengers and not knowing what they were definitly adds to the confusion and when I reached the lion king remark Iw as going for comedy but then this idea popped into my head and I figured I would put it out there.

Personaly I voted for Scifi, it has been a long time since I've blown up an alien death machine. (One not made by a super villain mind you.)

I rather liked the idea myself. I didn't know you were taking it seriously though, cause you kept mentioning Vulture. Ha ha
Yeah, a spoof on news threads, to show threads that have died. You could even get exclusive interviews from the people who role played, and some of their speculations. A synopsis of what happened, good things, bad things.
Editorials, hee hee, comercials for other role playing threads opened or starting up.
That might be a lot of fun.
... so long as we're not vultures...

You just didn't like the jungle book did you. Fine the vultures are out then.

But explain what you ment by a group of scavengers, I really didn't get that at all.

Actually, I loved the Jungle Book scene with the vultures. That was the funniest bit.
"What do you wanna do?"
"I don't know, what do you wanna do?"
"Hey, now don't start that again."

I pissed myself laughing, it was so funny.

As for Scavengers, in the 2nd or 3rd post, Polite wanted a team of scavengers from some post apocalyptic world to come out and try to get.... whatever...
That's why I mentioned it was a good idea... partly because it was the only idea so far, and partly because it sounded like something fun to do.

Scavengers sound interesting.

Lately I've just been in Anime-Style and Video Game based threads, if I ever want to get better I'm gonna have ta break away sooner or later.

What about an Haunted Carnival? Demonic clowns, mass killing carnie rides, a freak rebellion... The possibliltys are almost limitless for such an thing if you think about it.

Killer clowns from outerspace! I remember that movie, in fact I remember being scared to watch it. Oh well that is what happens when your six, or five, or was it 18.... can't recall. What about Stephen Kings "IT" that had a scary clown. So I msut ask why clowns? Why not mimes, or girl scouts going door to door saleing souls.

Wait I am off topic. I'm not much for horror, movies or threads so I have nothing worth while to contribute.

Girl scouts? Stealing souls? That's what's in those damned cookies...!!

Actually, that's not so bad an idea. Not in its base form maybe, but we can add things to it, can't we? Of course, it is kind of true to reality, given that they'll grow up to be soul-stealing women some day (heh-heh).

We've had quite a few that never made it off the ground too, that may have been good ideas without the boost they needed behind them. The thread might even be good for those threads that aren't getting the players they need, to plug them. Kind of like you would do on an actual show. Interview someone, have them talk about the last big thread they did, then let them plug the next.

Anyway, I've always liked the horror genre, but it seems good ideas are hard to come by a lot of the time, at least workable ones. The post-28 Days thread (assuming that's a reference to 28 Days later) might be a good one. Always liked zombies, enough to try to start three RE threads, but could never get the idea off the ground. If someone else wants to try it, I might be in.

... This only further pushes me to create the carnivale thread.

In all honesty, I think it may actualy work. Espeacialy if you have personal vendettas against clowns. (The Insane Clown Posse don't count people!)

Come now clowns aren't fun. People have a fear of them already in cases. Has any one ever heard of some one with a Phobia of girl scouts?

Well you have to parts to radioactive horror, one is zombies and one is godzilla. I personaly am I bigger fan of the gaint glowing monsters then the zombies. But hell like I said I don't watch horror movies. (Other then "Army of Darkness" because some things every one should see. Then again army of darkness is comedy not horror isn't it? )

Paranormal victim seems to be doing well.

Perhaps we can combine that with a who dun it and come up with a weird murder mystery, type thing. (I did one where I was an alien that switched bodies with a bicker guy. Should of seen it comeing when I read my name Dexter Terestrial.)

Although paranormal aside it may be fun to do a murder mystery. Have one person host, the detective who points out clues and red hareings. This person would start the trhead and he would also let one of the players know they did it. If we could get togeather a group of six to eight people. And some one can come up with a story. My experince is people would have to do pemade characters with a fair background only the player knows, so motivation would be hidden. Trouble is this is the type of thing you msut do start to finish. If some one drops it would be trouble.

I would like to see something interesting too.. I myself.. have been going through withdrawel symptoms for dnd but I would be up for anything..

IM interested in a new thread as well. I am content with my seven keys thread and loa of course, and dt thread is interesting as well, would like to do a differentone though .. one I havent done yet.. it would be kewlie..

maybe something like back to the future .. where a whole bunch of people get sucked into some wierd time warp like sliders.. and end up .. in some other time.. and they have to figure out whats going on and why they ended up here.

like for example, ie a subway train gets stopped in some tunnel during some electrical storm or something, .. and the muddle boogie suddenly just disappears .. everyone on it.. jsut plain ordinary people.. and they have to figure out whats going on.. and .. okay srry Im jsut thinking of ideas...

im dont now ... dont laugh becuase IM wierd .. I have entirely too many ideas in my head..
