This afternoon I opened a fortune cookie and it read:

Listeners envy the storyteller his tales as he envies their experiences.

I don’t know that I agree with it, but it’s ABSOLUTELY wonderful. I’ve never gotten such a great little line on one of these strips of paper before. Mostly mine say crap like “You will go on a long journey.”

Anyone else ever get one like this?

FantasyGoddess - Don't take it personal. I think a lot is lost in the translation to English. Rest secure all are quite profound in the original text. :)

You do know "The Rule" for fortunes in fortune cookies, don't you?

You must add the words "IN BED" to the end of every fortune. Makes even the insipid ones interesting...

...in bed.

HAHAHAHAHA! It works. HAHAHAHAHA!

I have'nt had a fortune cookie yet. So I must say that I a little behind.

While I like the statement of the fortune cookie, MP, personally I hate getting those type. I want a FORTUNE cookie, where I get some sort of prediction of what's going to happen to me, good or bad. If I wanted philosophy, I'd take a class.

The "in bed" thing IS funny! With the fortunes, that is.

WOOF.

OMG, I'm laughing so hard!

... in bed!

I think my last fortune cookie said something like:
People are drawn to your magnetic personality.

That's a joke.

... in bed!

*giggle* *snort*

I have a friend who sells Chinese fortune cookies, among other things. He's a preacher and has sold just about everything to supplement his income. Selling God isn't always profitable. Seems to be seasonal or something.

I mean, this guy sells big bags of fortune cookies to restaurants and stores. I've opened hundreds. The fortunes are great but the cookies taste like shit.
