When netz used the "monster under the bed" example, she was saying that this is an adult situation and you can't aply child psycology to an adult psyci. Which is pretty much what I restated when you looked up child psycoligists to suport your arguement.

Then the only real disagreement can be the time of my questions: Is someone who is able to write lengthy articles in a forum still in a condition that requires group cuddling, especially if it is mentioned, those concerns exist already for a longer period of time and did not have the root in the latest incident? I merely wanted to discuss things with people who have had similar experiences and thoughts because I and Master are fairly new to kink as I have said before. That's the whole point of the forum, in case you missed it. If I want a hug I'll go to Master and ask for one nicely. He's never refused me yet.

I think it comes from being somewhat isolated. Master has no interest in local events and others who say they have been indoctrinated into certain aspects of kink have had a slight advantage IMO. .

I know this probably will not be popular here, but I really do think there is too much focus and importance placed on going to clubs, parties, meetings, workshops, and meeting in RL public events like minded people in relation to living D/s. It is one option, especially for the socially minded, but at the end of the day what you do not only is your own business, but should be guided by both your needs, values, kinks, and desires, nor going out to meet others, compare notes and ask if they think you have got it right. I for one have never been indoctrinated in the public scene, nor attended such events, but I do not feel it has been detrimental to our journey or my happiness. There is a lot of fun and learning to be had in exploring and traveling your journey together, more so than having a bunch of people along for the ride and offering suggestions of how and when you should be doing everything. LOL, more than likely it would be more uncomfortable for me to be involved in public aspects as I find myself cringing at the thought of being nearly as revealing about personal aspects of myself or our lives which most here think nothing of posting about...my shyness and introverted nature is not maybe always a good thing.

Also, try not to get that upset with Primalex's comments as I honestly do not think they were meant to be upsetting but more thought provoking in response to your own questions. I know we all fall prey to mis-reading comments sometimes, especially if others are jumpiong up and down about it but until now I had not had time to read through the thread, but on doing so I think it was a matter of miscommunication/misreading the words and their meaning more so than blatent stupidity and baiting. Of course, I get it wrong enough times that I may be wrong this time also, just it didn't read for me the way most took it.
