The first thing you need to know about anal is safety. Don't fuck around with human feces. Use gloves, dental dams, and condoms at all times. Clean the area thoroughly before messing around back there. Perform an enema if possible.

Secondly, use lots of lube. I can't stress this enough.

Thirdly, try to relax the sphincter muscles or nothing will get in.

My ex was very apprehensive about anal as well, but then I started bringing in porn movies to view that just happened to have anal in them, as we would watch, I would play with her pussy, venturing to her ass occasionally.
