Well today I was at the doctors for an EMG! Damn that shit hurts. My hand is still sore from the tazing and needles. Half way through the test I almost passed out the pain was so bad. They completed the test with me laying down. It still hurt like hell. And now every place they stuck a needle in me is screaming.

Well anyway, I flunked the test. It appears that I have a severe case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I have been wearing a wrist brace for the last two weeks and it hasn't helped a bit. So the next step is to see the surgeon. The hand surgeon to be exact. Have an appointment with him in two weeks.

On a lighter note, my wife and I stopped at this restaurant on the way home for lunch. It was called Pompeii. And me being the idiot I always am, thought it was a greek restaurant. Wrong it was Italian. Bit of a shock there but the food was good.

Take care of yourself, sugar!

Cut out the incessant wanking -- it'll help. ;)

OW, Zeb. I live in fear of carpal tunnel. Hope you feel much better soon.

Thanks, but I have already reduced it to a minimum...once a year. ;)

Well there is no pain associated with the CTS, just numbness, whole hand numbness. The pain is from the damn test.

I've had four emgs done on my back and leg, Zeb and I know how painful they are. It actually had me changing my mind about getting a tattoo on my lower back, I just don't think I could deal with it.

I can feel for you.

Thanks Dannielle. But those Tampa Bay License plates let us guys know which girls like it from behind! ;)

I've got carpal tunnel... I wake up completely numb, can't feel a thing, but it fades... they keep telling me to sleep in the wrist braces, but I can't sleep if I wear them, so... it comes and goes for me... typing in certain positions can be an issue...

sorry to hear about your painful test, though, Zeb... :(

Thanks Selena! I have been wearing the brace for two weeks when I go to bed. It has helped, my hand doesn't go numb while I'm trying to get to sleep. But after this test it would appear that the brace isn't going to clear it up this time. :(

Zeb (and others), sorry to hear you are suffering with CTS.

The SO had it in both wrists, both have been operated. The op is simple, a local anestetic, recovery is 4-6 weeks. One question you might want to ask the surgeon is some people get 'trigger thumb' following CTS surgery, you might want to raise the question, let him know you are aware of the possibility.

Wish you well.

Thanks Neon, I will ask him when I see him in two weeks.
