An Unlikely Match

(This thread is not completely closed as of yet - but the main chars of Beth and Martin are filled)

Beth lugged the last of box up the stair way and down the hall way to her new apartment. The thing was massive, successfully blocking her view and straining her arms to keep hold of the cardboard. She shuffled slowly and giggled at how absurd she had to look.

"Bethany, you're going to topple over if you're not careful!" Carl shouted down the hallway, stating what was already extremely obvious.

She giggled breathlessly, straining to keep her fingertips from slipping. "How about lending a lady a hand then!" She puffed back, bending back and wishing for one moment she was a man and her chest was flat.

Carl chuckled, but remained standing her doorway, "What? And miss this kind of fun?" He teased, then gave a mock yelp of surprise when Mandy punched him in the arm playfully and shoved him forward.

Strong hands grasped the edges of the box and lifted, drawing it away from Beth who sighed with relief. "Oh thank God! Thanks." She breathed, wiping the sweat from her brown and fanning herself. Dressed for labor, Beth had opted to wear an oversized pair of jeans, already splattered with paint from numerous decorating experiments and a long sleeved baggy sweatshirt. Tugging at her pony tail, she gazed at Mandy who looked like her perfect blond self and stuck out her tongue. "You look all fresh and I look like shit. This doesn't seem fair." She grouched, but smiled all the same.

Carl sat the last of her packed boxes on the small dinning room table and jogged back out into the hallway, bent on making his escape. He looked this way and that, "Hey...already a neighbor. I never see mine...it's as though they only come out at night when I'm sleeping." He joked, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Well, I gotta run kiddies...I'll catch you later."

"Mmmm..." Beth mumbled, turning slightly to regard the man in the hallway who seemed busy trying to find his house key. "Thanks, Carl. See you at work." She called after him as he jogged into her view and zipped past the 'new' guy.

This building aint the high rent district, People are always coming and going. Every so often I get conned into helping a new neighbor move in or out, but I've gotten tired of it and now try to avoid it. Why bother. If they are a good looking girl they already have a boyfriend or husband anyway and I feel like I'm just being used.

Today when I got home another one was moving in. She was just saying goodbye to a guy as I was trying to get my door opened. I glanced at her and she was a mess, but that's not unusual after the chores of packing and moving. I didnt see any more boxes in the hall so I ducked inside without saying anything.

I poured myself a drink and turned on the TV and didnt think any more about it until later, when I realized that under that clown suit of clothes she had on, there might be a nice shape underneath, and that night in bed I fantacized about getting her in there with me.

Once settled inside her new apartment, Beth ran Mandy out so that she could relax, enjoy a moment of quietness and begin her unpacking. Her apartment looked like a battle zone at present, but she had hopes of making it look homie in no time.

Stripping off her baggy clothes, Beth began walking to the bathroom. There was nothing real fancy about this place, but she didn't really care. It was nice to just have her own place again and no have to share with anyone. She liked the quietness of it and independence she felt living alone.

Reaching the bathroom, she stood in her bra and panties a moment before turning on the faucets and glanced at her watch. It was already late, but she was sweaty and frumpy. Slipping off the gold band, she slipped into the hot water after finding a bar of soup and shampoo to scrub herself clean. Sighing contently, she washed, scrubbed and rinsed before finishing off.

Moments later, she was dry, warm and padding around in a pair of cartoon printed pjs and fuzzy slippers, a soft smile playing on her lips. Unpacking could wait until later...she needed rest.

Finding her bed under a mess of boxes, she unloaded the space and wiggled under the blankets and yawned, closing her eyes as she snuggled down. As sleep took over, her mind drifted to the stranger in the hall. He had been quite handsome, if not grumpy looking. She tried pondering if she would like to meet him, but exhaustion took over and soon she was out and dreaming...

In the morning after a good cum in my bed I arose, bathed and got ready for work. As I walked out of my door and down the hall I thought of the new neighbor I had just made love to in my fantacies, and wondered what she would be doing all day.

In my office my thoughts were still on her, and I made up my mind to get to know her. Tonight I would knock on her door and ask if there was anything I could do to help, and maybe a pizza and a bottle of wine might break the ice.

All day I thought about what kind of wine she might like. Chardonney was always safe, but sometimes a good hearty red was a good choice too. On the way home I stopped and picked up a bottle of each, to be prepared.

Beth

Morning came swiftly, too swiftly for Beth's liking. She stumbled out of bed, changed into some working clothes and went on with unpacking her things. One box after another and some furniture rearranging turned into hours of sweat and labor until things everything was in it's own little place.

Satisfied by the end of the day, Beth plopped down with a groan, aching from head to toe. She was pretty sure she felt muscles in her pinkie toes and fingers she knew hadn't been there before.

With a tired sigh, she turned on the television only to be interupted by a firm knock on the door. Groaning again, she forced her feet to hit the floor and shuffled over. Without a second thought, she opened the door only to come face to face with the neighbor from a few doors down.

"Oh!" She said, clearly not expecting him and suddenly feeling rather dirty and smelly, not to mention frumpy and unattractive, Beth swiped a nervous hand over her hair and grinned. "Hi...eer...can I help you?"

Martin

"Hi. Saw you moving in yesteday and was sure you'd be tired from unpacking and everything. Thought maybe you might like a glass of wine and maybe a pizza after all that work."

I stood there feeling like a fool, intruding like that, but everythng has to start somewhere, and obvious;ly she hadnt had time to even think about getting soething to eat. Looking over her shoulder I saw she had things well under control, but there were empty boxes here and there and I'd be glad to help haul them down to the incinerator

"Anything I can do to be of help?"

OOC: I'm really sorry...I know that we just started this thread, but my father just had a heart attack yesterday and that extra stress and worry along with me starting college again, I'm going to have to withdraw for now. I hope we can continue another time...I'll keep the idea filed away along with some others...perhaps we can write again sometime! Again, my apologies!
