{OOC: This is my first time writing on the ORP Forum. I usually write on the SRP Forum but for once, I wanted to try more of a story approach rather than constant sex. So please enjoy reading this story -- I know I will enjoy writing it. ~IL~}
The moonlight cast its bright aura throughout the trees of Darnassus, the moonkin hatchlings could be heard cooing their sweet sounds on the gentle breeze that slipped between the branches. Time was so simple right now. Peace. Tranquility. Everlasting happiness. I sat there on a branch looking over some of the ancient tomes, reading the travels of the old gods and how many of the Night Elves lived in the past. It always intrigued me how times were simpler. And even now, the peace that I was experiencing would be dying down. The Horde was encroaching on our sacred territory. It would be hard to keep peace within our forested walls. The young children of the grove would hear about the problems of their future soon enough even though the leaders of the Night Elves had kept the secret within the confines of the council.
Turning the page, I catch the name of a half-elf that I had once known so many years ago. Yes, it had been nearly 100 years since that time, but I had known him as a child. Arator the Redeemer. I thought about his history and how the blood elves had condemned any thought of him. I may visually be only in my young twenties, but I have seen more than any human could imagine. Then I thought about something else. Blood elves. The thought of the people that had secluded themselves over in the Eastern Kingdoms at the northernmost part just sent my blood to boil. They had hoped to achieve so much but at the cost of so many lives. They're nothing but scabs in the Elven Community and the world of Azeroth would be much better off without their kind gracing the surface of the planet.
"Alendiryl? Are you up there? Lady Tyrande has requested your presence," Kil'on Nightfeather, a Darnassus Sentinel, said passing underneath the tree I was in. I sighed as I closed the tome tucking it away into the saber fur satchel that I always kept at my side. Within its confines, I kept potions and spell books. I had always been gifted in spells. And now, I was always needed for my abilities. Even at this hour. I dropped down to the ground in a quick maneuver, frightening him. My eyes glowing in the darkness as I walked past him.
"Thank you, Kil'on. I shall report to her immediately. Continue on your way," I said saluting him, to which he saluted me in return. I pulled out a runestone, tapping it. I transformed into my feral form, increasing my speed to make it to Tyrande's quarters in a timely manner. I wasn't sure what she could want, but I had an idea of what it was in mind. It certainly wouldn't be good.
I transformed back out of my feral form and appeared in her doorway. "Milady. You summoned me?" I asked, straightening my robes.
The blue haired high priestess of the goddess Elune turned her head and waved me inside. "Yes, I summoned you. I trust that you have an idea of what I called you here for." I nodded taking a seat on the floor before her as she continued. "There have been tensions in Darkshore between the Horde and the Alliance. I know we shouldn't be involved but Moonglade has called for you to assist them in this time. From what I can translate from King Varian Wrynn, you are to be accompanied by a Blood Elf Shaman from Quel'Danas to hopefully keep the peace between the factions. I hope you will be alri---"
"Blood Elf! You cannot be serious, milady! They are the bane of the Elves. You cannot expect me to help with someone of that---that caliber!" I protested, the anger in my heart emanating as aura around me.
Tyrande was not one to get angry because of her ranking and the tranquil holy aura that always surrounded her, but this time I believed I had crossed the line. "You will stand down and accept this mission. We were once all one people. The incident at the Sunwell is in the past and it should remain that way. You will do as you are ordered, Alendiryl. So much is expected of you. No objections, understood?" she said, turning back to the map.
I lowered my head. "Yes, milady. It is understood. I shall take my leave to make preparations." I bowed and left her presence.
Over the next few days, I made the preparations necessary for the mission. It was to be a negotiation process to keep the Horde and the Alliance from encroaching on our territory. I was still angry that I was having to work with a Blood Elf for the sake of this mission. But I prayed to the Goddess Elune last evening to watch over me and to quell any rage within me -- to fill me with the light so that I may carry on my mission with quickness and peace in my heart.
I made my way down to the docks on the edge of the World Tree, Teldrassil, to where I was to meet with this stranger, this -- Blood Elf. I waited until I saw him. The people around me gasping as they saw a Blood Elf on the shores, rushing their children inside. I just stood there, my arms crossed as I looked to him.
