As some of you know the Fourth of July is special to me for two reasons. The first is somehow well known to all. The second is because it is my Anniversary.

This year will mark 16 years that my wife and I have been together.

My wife decided that she just had to get me something she had seen to not only commemorate our marriage but my returning to riding. Because of this she chose this ring.

In one way I'm not too sure about this. Yes I ride and yes I love riding but,,,,

On another hand I have only worn my wedding band for the past 16 years, wearing a ring on my right hand will take some getting used to.

It's a nice looking ring and I will wear it if for no other reason than she got it for me but it's going to take some getting used to.

Oh and for my wife? I picked up a bracelet for her. A nice little seven inch one made with two toned gold in a Butterfly Motif. (She loves Butterflys.) Oh, I ordered this six months ago and have been paying for it every month since then.

nice ring... and I'm sure she will love the bracelet. You are so sweet. :)

Okay so the ring took a while to show up. It was waiting at the post office when we arrived home from our trip last Tuesday. I've been wearing it ever since.

It's taking me a bit to get used to having a ring on my right hand. I can still feel it. On the other hand I love the looks of the ring. It's different and I know there weren't many of them made.

It's larger than I expected when I saw a picture of it. Larger and heavier. I think I'll be wearing this ring for a while. (Even though I dont wear my diamond.)

I love it, Cat. You and she are such lucky people to have each other!

I wear two heavy rings on my right hand. Once you get used to it, you feel it when the weight isn't there-- nonstop.

I agree. I wear two Titanium rings on my right hand. They're light-weight but I have them both on the same finger. It took me a while to adjust to them since I hadn't worn any on that hand for a few years. Now it feels strange when I take them off for any reason.
