This evening as I sat here watching the TV there came on one of our local Public Safety Commercials. This one was about the need for preperations of Mobile, Modular and Manufactured Homes. It made mention of inspecting your tie down straps and other things. Then they stepped in it by making the comment that when an Evacuation is ordered all Mobile Home residents must leave.
This is incorrect. The law states that you should leave but there is no legal way they can make you evacuate. They do however also clearly state that while the winds are high they will not respond to your calls for help. (In other words you're on your own.)
