Today my wife and I decided we needed to get out. It's the last day of our week off and all we've done is work on the place. We thought about what we could do then decided to visit the Navy S.E.A.L./U.D.T. Museum in Ft. Pierce. We haven't been there yet so we decided to give it a try.
The drive up there absolutely sucked with nice gusty winds from the west. (Gusting to above 30 M.P.H.)
The Museum itself was an eye opener. I learned a lot not just about the SEAL's but about their origins as well. (The Original training area for the Navy's U.D.T. or Underwater Demolision Teams was here in Southern Florida. The site was chosen because this was also the training area for the Navy's SeaBee's.)
The drive home afterwards, with several bags of goodies from the gift shop, was a lot more enjoyable. Instead of taking I-95 south again we chose instead to drive down Route 1.
