An incestuous family of gods.

This one just popped into my head recently.

It's a foursome of all powerful gods—a man, a woman, their daughter and a fourth, likely an uncle. Thy arrive at an empty patch of deep space and start constructing a habitable world with an orbiting sun, a moon, etc. But while the creation process is underway, the Creators slowly descend into a family-wide taboo love affair.

I thought it'd be an interesting allusion to the old chaotic deities of Greek mythology, and perhaps an incest story with a different sort of flavor.

Quite right. For an interesting twist, see THE NIGHT LIFE OF THE GODS by Thorne Smith (he wrote TOPPER) wherein all the statues of gods in NYC's Natural History Museum come alive, and PARTY!

But yeah, deities in most cultures tend to be closely related, and fuck and/or kill and devour each other. Fun fun fun.
