We have two women (whom we shall call W1 and W2) in college.
W1 is brilliant, but is highly unattractive and has ridiculously low self-esteem. She's also a lesbian, although she'd yet to have sex of any kind.

W2 constantly abuses W1, both physically and mentally. W2 beats, insults, and generally humiliates W1 constantly. Because of her desire for W2's body (access to which is given in a most humilating fashion), and her low self-esteem, W1 takes it.
This continues for years. W2 has become insanely rich and influential through her beauty and W1's intellect. W1's psyche has been ravaged by the years of abuse; in her mind, W2 is a Goddess, and she is a worthless nothing who's life has meaning only in serving her Goddess.
One day, a reporter begins investigating W2 and discovers W1 and what W2 has done to her. Realizing that W2's wealth and power would prevent any legal means of dealing with the problem, the reporter acts surrepitously, managing to find and nourish the small spark of selfhood W1 has. W1 eventually comes to realize that far from redeeming her, W2 has ruined her life.
Using her brilliant mind, W1 develops a method of controlling W2, taking her revenge by reversing their roles, making W2 HER slave.
Thoughts? I know it's rather cliche and contrived, but I think it has potential.
