An Honor

Just wanted to say that I was cruising through the Discussion board and happened upon Laurel's entry regarding the January nominees. I noticed one of my stories received nomination for that month. Thanks to those who took the time to read and vote. I have read many excellent stories on this site since I first became a member and consider this nomination a huge honor.

Is there anyway I could have found out other than through the discussion board? I know and understand that the wonderful folks who run this site are truly kept busy. From what I have seen and read on the discussion board, you all are consumate professionals. Because I am new here I am probably missing something and do not understand the process as to how a writer is notified when he/she becomes nominated. If it is just a matter of looking through the board to find out then at least I know what to expect. Sorry this got a bit long I did not intend it to be.

During the Nomination process there was a link pointing to the board the nominating was being done placed right on the front page.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I will start looking for the nomination link. I have been voting for the stories I have read, and providing annonymous feedback when I felt moved to do so. I just never noticed a link allowing you to nominate them.

Angel is right that there was a link, but that was only during the nomination process, which is now over. Kessler, the monthly nominations is something new that Laurel just instituted this month. (Congratulations, by the way.) I think that you should e-mail her with your concern. There may be other people in your shoes who don't have any idea they were nominated.

Thanx for further clarification on the nomination process whisper. I will take your advice and drop Laurel an email. I am sure that like anything new there are bugs that need to be worked out.
