Hey, everyone! posting for the first time. I've tried getting an editor for about a month now, and since for one reason or another I've been unsuccessful, I thought I'd try my luck here.
The story: A dark, though ultimately happy love story. The main category is BDSM though I like to play with many kinks. It doesn't contain any non consent, any gore or any of the more extreme things. Full disclosure, it's somewhat long (40 normal pages, which makes for about 5 or 6 literotica pages) but I'm not in a massive rush or anything. Obviously I'd like to publish as soon as possible, but provided the editor can work on it semi-regularly, I'm a patient person, and I'm happy to let them work at their own pace.
What I'm looking for:
- Mainly, trustworthiness. It's happened to me way too many times that the editor simply leaves me hanging in the middle of the story or offers to help, even replies a few times, but spends two or three weeks with the story and never actually does anything. I obviously understand people have other priorities in life, I just want to work with someone who doesn't lead me on.
- When it comes to the story per se, I'm mostly looking for help with the flow. However, I'm not particular about my writing; everything the editor wants to add is welcome. It's how you improve after all.
