this story caused some upset amongst various sections of Lit readers. It was absolutely not my intent to cause offence, and as such I apologise unreservedly for this error on my part.
The scene I describe is a letter from a wife to her husband. He is serving with the military in some godforsaken country in the world, and the spouse is describing, in lurid detail, a sexual adventure that she enjoyed during his absence.
I speak from experience, having served myself, and I know that many couples have an 'arrangement' whilst the serving soldier is away from home. It seems, however, that some readers find the scene I describe to be disturbing, and a blow to their morale. Once again, this was not my intent. Please, if you're in harm's way serving your country at this time, please be safe, and accept this apology.
I would be happy for the Lit mods to withdraw the story if that's possible.

Withdrawing a Story

If you wish to have a story withdrawn, send a PM (Private Message) to Laurel. That should take care of it.

Geronimo, there is absolutely no need to remove this story. Your little "disclaimer" at the top of the story says enough. If there are people that think a story posted here somehow contributes to others cheating or some sort of moral degradation they shouldn't bother being on this site let alone posting on a this site.

I wouldn't remove the story. There is a young lady on another erotic story site who has written a few stories of her alledged affair with a coworker as her husband is serving in Iraq. How true is it? I can't say. But it certainly sounds convincable.

As I see it bro, we can't please everyone with the stories that we write. I've gotten a shitload of ugly emails in the pasts complaining just about everything that you can think of. But it's the emails of compliments that overpower them.

Yeah, I have read some stuff I disliked or disagreed with BUT I would never want anyone to take down something they wrote....call it my blind love for freedom of speach....

And your story was not that bad.

Keep it up.

keep it up

Hi Geronimo,

I 'm with the folks above: you can't please them all, and don't I know it. I've received comments like "You've got to be kidding!" and so on. There is a political dimension to this, yes, but so is there for many great stories. Your story was pretty hot, so keep writing!

a lot of people just go around reading stories in categories that they don't even like. I've gotten a lot of flak for stories in the Loving Wives, Interracial, and NonConsent categories because some people think that what i'm describing is wrong, immoral, sick, whatever. But for some reason they want to read it anyway and then flame me on it; just leave it up. you have the disclaimer up, don't worry about it, if people aren't into it they shouldn't be reading it anyway.

Hi, Ger.
I'm in agreement with probably everybody here. There are persons who will take offense at practically any story on the site, sometimes for good reasons, like this one, and sometimes for dumb reasons or for no reason at all. I have been hit with one-bombs and flamed for writing about a sexual predator or a cheating wife or for other characters that readers dislike. I take such reactions as compliments, that I have aroused emotion in readers.

As far as I am concerned, if I piss readers off, that's too bad. You can't please everybody so just please yourself.

wow. thanks for the encouraging words. nice to know that i haven't got it that wrong. i wrote the piece from my perspective, as i suppose that is the only way we can write! i was in kuwait, and subsequently iraq in march 2003, and as such, thought i was fully qualified to write the piece, since i've actually experienced the angst of separation, the fear of the unknown, and of course the experience of being in fear for my own life.
anyway, thanks again, the support is very much appreciated. :)

I think this sort of thing happens more then what people admit or want to believe. Keep it up (the story....lol), it's a story..........a very good story I might add !!!

GA,
If she is writing him with all the nitty-gritty details and it is his brother, it must be with his consent. This happens so many times without the spouses consent or knowledge. And the adulteror/adulteree is not necessararily any specific race/culture.
