High up in the sky, above the clouds, far out of the reach of any mortal, was the Holy City of the Goddess of Light; a place that mortals only knew about from stories and legends, the homeland of the angels. These angels were exclusively female, as they were all created from a part of the Goddess’s own spirit. Angels generally saw themselves as the perfect being, highly superior to the mortals of earth and the demons of the underworld. To prevent the angels from losing their purity due to the influence of the imperfect mortals, only the elder angels could ever leave the Holy City, causing most angels to have never seen a mortal in their life.

Among all these angels in the Holy City, there was one particular angel, one called Urithiel. She was young, for an angel, being barely a century old. She was nothing special, just one of the many angels in the Holy City, yet she was about to get into a very special adventure…

One day, a wicked demon trickster played a trick on her. He had been admiring the angelic beauty from a distance, but today he made his move. Disguising himself as another angel, he approached her. Taking advantage of how naïve and trusting she was, he led her outside of the gates of the Holy City. Once outside, the demon revealed its true form and immediately tried to force himself onto the busty beauty. But before he could, he was interrupted by the approach of an elder angel, making a patrol around the city. The demon managed to flee before the angel could notice them, sadly without his price. But it was too late for Urithiel, young angels could not fly outside of the gates of the Holy City, and she fell, literally and metaphorically, down to earth…

The sun peered through the trees, bright rays brilliantly cascading into the forest below, casting an oddly beautiful array of lights to dance around the forest floor. It was eerily quiet. Birds weren't chirping, leaves weren't rustling, and the bugs weren't buzzing. It was odd, as usually the forest was alive with action, reaction, and life. Not even a breeze swayed the trees, all was still. A single deer sat, grazing on some small shrubbery, unaware of the impending danger it was in. It gracefully moved slowly, its mouth picking up each blade of grass.

All the while, a man, hidden in the shade of a nearby large oak tree by a gray/green cloak. Halt Ulric, a tall, medium built Elf, sat with a longbow drawn to its maximum draw, a barbed arrow ready to be shot. His piercing blue eyes had pinpoint accuracy when it came to archery, and it served him well. Halt's shorn brown hair shone in the brilliant sunlight. He had been tracking this deer for a good day and a half now. It was the only sign of animal life he could find within these far mountains and with how lengthy of a journey he was making, he was forced to make necessary detours in order to keep himself from starving. Halt was about to let loose his arrow and let it fly, straight into the deer's heart, when a terrible, thunderous crashing sound came from somewhere nearby. The deer darted as fast as lightning and Halt let the arrow go out of fear. The arrow lodged in a tree trunk and Halt sighed. Now he wouldn't have a good meal for the rest of his travel...

However, out of curiosity, Halt drew another arrow and nocked it into place, cautiously scouting out the area. He soon came to a clearing in the forest, a small circle of trees surrounding a relatively large crater, that was smoking. Halt approached, drawing the arrow even more, walking hesitantly; having never seen something like this before. His hands started to sweat and he had to readjust his grip on the bow. It was all so surreal. Even for being a somewhat younger Elf, barely 125, he had never heard of any kind of phenomena such as this. He hadn't read about it, none of the elders ever told stories involving such things... What was it? Was it magic? Sorcery? Halt held his breath as he continued to get closer to the crater, his rugged leather boots made deep indents in the soft, recently disturbed soil. Halt slowly peered into the hole... And was surprised to find a beautiful girl, completely unscathed...

Urithiel slowly opened her eyes, but her sight was completely blurred. She felt she was laying on the ground, a hard rocky ground. Her mind was numb, she couldn't think, all she could do was observe. The rocky ground, the silence around her, the painful headache that pestered her mind. As her mind slowly began to clear up, the previously occurring events began coming back to her. It took her several seconds before her mind could properly process those memories and realize where she was now. When her mind finally settled, her big green eyes suddenly opened wide up in shock.
The blurriness of her vision had decreased by now, but was not completely gone just yet. She wanted to quickly sit straight up, but when she tried noticed how sore her body was. After with some effort crawling into a sitting position, she looked around at the big rocky crater around herself. Eventually, she noticed a blurry figure standing near the edge, above her.
"H- Hello?" she stuttered.

In his experiences and observations, most of the things on the planet was out to get you. This was most definitely no exception. This hole, halt presumed, wasn't here before and the fact that this girl had no identifying marks on her signified something great. Halt's bow was trained on the girl's head. His head cocked to the side quizzically. She didn't seem hostile, and she actually seemed rather confused. Halt's Elven ears piqued at the sound of her voice. It was absolutely angelic and stunning, even moreso than an Elven voice. He immediately lowered the weapon, sheathing it to his person.

Carefully maneuvering down the crater, jumping, sliding, and climbing until he was at the bottom, a few feet from the fallen girl. It took a deep breath before he spoke. Her beauty was unparalleled to any girl he had ever laid eyes upon. Grasping at what to say, he just stumbled out the word, "Hi," His own, less-than-angelic voice rang out pure and clear. Halt had no idea what he should, what the proper way to go about this was. Naturally, he would've tried to see if she needed medical attention but this seemed... different. "Are... Are you okay?" His voice was uncertain.

Halt was not the only one who had found himself in an unfamiliar and strange situation. As the blurry figure in her sight maneuvered itself down the steep rocky side of the crater, Urithiel's sight cleared up and she actually began to have a good view of the person approaching her. It was not until her sight cleared up that she realized what he had actually been pointing at her: a bow! Realizing that shocked her a little, even though the stranger had already put his weapon away by now.

The sight of the approaching stranger was strange to her, so different from the angels, which were normally the only people she met. He was a mortal, she could tell that. An elf if she was correct, judging by his tall lean appearance and his pointy ears. Of course she knew what mortals looked like, but seeing one so close to her was a strange sight. Many things about him seemed strange to her: his clothes, his shorn hair, but most of all... he was a man! Having never seen a man in her life, her eyes were locked on him in surprise and fascination.

When she spoke to her, she quickly looked down to see that her body and even her little white dress were completely unscathed. If she was harmed she would have felt it of course, but looking down was more of an automatic reaction. The situation was too strange for her to think logically.
"I'm- I'm fine... i think." She stuttered awkwardly.

Halt was, slowly but surely, making his way closer to the fallen woman. His legs kept moving until he was standing right over her, towering above her prone, crumpled figure. His lips pursed as his eyes wandered over her body, before moving back to her face. "What... What are you...?" She was certainly not human, and her standard looking ears ruled out Elvish. she certainly didn't look like any Orc he knew. In fact, she looked just like a human... Granted, a lot more fair and beautiful, but there was no possible way.

He now kneeled at her position, his eyes continuing to roam over her body. Warily, his hand reached out and touched her arm. It seemed as if there was a shock at first, but it passed. He ever so gingerly brushed some dirt off of her skin, admiring how soft it was. It was truly amazing, the whole situation. Out of everyone on the planet, what made him so special to witness such a dazzling spectacle?

"My, uh... My name's Halt. I'm an Elf. From the Woodlands. And you are...?" Halt had never been tongue tied before. Never in his life had he ever been at a loss of words and he didn't like the feeling of it. Knowing what to do and say and when to say them was a gift of his, but it was failing him now.

In the meanwhile, Urithiel was just as amazed by the sight of the tall elf standing over her. The sight of a man was so new and surreal to the young angel. His masculine face and very short hair, his lean but somewhat muscular body, clad in his camouflaged clothing made of rugged cloth and leather. All such unfamiliar sights for an angel, since all she ever met before, the previously encountered demon excluded, were other angels.

From the moment she saw him, she felt a strange kind of attraction to him, almost like a feeling of desire. Of course no normal person would feel such a strong attraction to someone, after having just met them 15 seconds ago. But then again, it was the first man she ever saw. An unfamiliar feeling was a strong one.

When he spoke again, her thoughts were disrupted. "My- my name is Urithiel." She said, still stuttering from the strange situation she was in. "I'm an... an angel..." she spoke in a somewhat questioning voice, as if she doubted her own words. She paused for a moment, before she continued "W- Where am i? How did you find me?"

Halt kept his stance over her, almost protectively. He didn't know why, but his gut was telling him that she was of importance. Something so perfect doesn't deserve to be blemished by anything. His own eyes didn't leave hers as she started telling him about herself, nodding at her name. However, when he was told that the being before him was an angel, he almost gave out a laugh. In fact, a small chuckle emitted from his mouth, and a smile was tugging at his lips. However, as he continued to monitor her eyes, he could tell that she was serious and believed it herself. She really was an angel. That wasn't possible. Long before, Elf's banished the thought of Angels and Demons and confined life to bettering themselves.

"Oh..." Halt now stood up to his full height again, his eyes scanning the surrounding forest area. Again, no wild-life... It was weird. The impact must've scared away most of the animals. Halt grinned playfully. She didn't even know where she was? "You're in the Terrapine Forest, just south of the border of the country Tyrael. I don't know how you got here... But I think you fell. I was hunting, and I heard this awful crash. And... Well, I found you. Here, let's get you off the ground..." Halt held out his rugged hand, motioning for her to grab it, so he could pull her up.
