Lt. Jamie Robertson had long since decided that she wouldn't remain cooped up on the spaceship Titan while the rest of her crew mates were out having all the fun exploring the alien planet's surface. Inside her private quarters she had stripped out of her standard relaxed uniform, but decided to leave on her underwear. The busty young lieutenant opened up her closet and pulled out her skin-tight flight suit. The blue spandex outfit had been designed with her body composition in mind, but it still felt like it was one size too short. Either way she slipped her legs inside first, pulling the suit up her body where it would automatically conform to the rest of her. The suit had been designed by some of the brightest scientists in the world, acting almost like a sentient being as it came to a close around her neck.
Jamie reached back into her closet and pulled out her helmet, which she kept cradled under her arm as she left her room and walked over to one of the teleportation device located deep within the ship itself. Stepping onto the appropriate platform, Jamie put her helmet on and closed the visor over her eyes. She could see just as well as before, only her peripheral vision was somewhat limited. That didn't really bother her, though, as her helmets sensors were more than capable of detecting everything around her.
Pushing a few buttons, Jamie was instantly brought down to the planets surface in a bright flash of light. The bright sun overhead made things easy for the young lieutenant to see, and Jamie took a quick glance around her. Walking away from where she had beamed down, Jamie encountered only dense woods and knee-high vegetation. She felt rather exposed walking around on her own, but so far she had yet to find any sign of intelligent life. The atmospheric readings were fairly normal, with levels resembling that of Earth, so Jamie began wondering if it was really safe enough to take her helmet off.
Deciding that it was worth the risk finding out, Jamie unfastened her helmet and she immediately breathed in a gulp of fresh air.
"Much better," she sighed with relief as her golden hair cascaded down her back. Jamie moved further on into the dense vegetation that seemed to make up the bulk of the area, though the woods were filled with twists and turns that made her head spin. At some point Jamie noticed that her sensors had gone haywire, and she suspected that there was something on the planets surface that was messing with it.
She tried to send out a signal to her flight members, but nothing seemed to be working.
It was still light out, but with her sensors malfunctioning she was going in dark. Jamie slowly drew out her weapon and took off the safety, charging it up and holding it with both hands.
