A character has a serious accident.The Male or Female protagonist would receive a head injury with complications that would involve amnesia.
The plot developement(twist) would be that the amnesia would negate/wipe/obviate the persons sexual identity or relationships.
Sexual identity isn't learnt,but it might be an idea to consider how much social conditioning,mores,reinforcement plays in our choices once they have been completely erased???.

If someone had a head injury that involved that amount of amnesia, they would probably have a fairly extensive acquired brain injury to go with it. THis would involve quite a lot of disability. I nursed neuro for a long time and never nursed a patient with a simple case of amnesia! Usually there was lots of aggression and loss of motor functions.

But then again, Lit doesn't have to be reality!

I have read many incredible things in erotic stories, so I guess it wouldn't matter lack of accuracy. Sometimes there are unique cases, that just mentioning that the character had and accident that caused him/her amnesia and not giving much detail and focus on the development would be ok.

Ever see that movie "Overboard"? Kurt Russell is poor widower with three unruly kids; Goldie Hawn is a rich bitch heiress who mistreats him. Then she falls off her yacht and loses her memory. Police broadcast a picture of her saying "do you know this woman?" Kurt goes and claims her, telling her she is his wife and makes her clean his house and take care of his kids.

There was no sex in the movie, but you could easily show how it could fit into the story. "Yeah, honey, don't you remember? You LOVE sucking my cock and my buddies cocks, taking it in the ass, gang-banging, etc...."
