Here's a little exercise to challenge your creativity.
Write a 26 word poem. Each word begins with a different letter of the alphabet. If you're really talented, you'll keep your ABCs in the correct order.
Here's an example I came up with:
A barrater calls Dorian each Fall.
Gathering her iced jewels--
karats languish mercilessly nevermore--
over paradise quietly resting,
she totes untold value
where Xanadu yet zens.
I really had to take poetic license with the last line.
The really challenging part is to have your poem make sense and be interesting.
