Please direct all OOC comments to the following: OOC: Amyera: 1000 Years After the Man-Plague.
That should keep this story from becoming cluttered with OOCS, thanks all.

OOC: I'm not entirely sure just where this will go yet, but it's an idea that I've been toying with for a while. I want this to be more of a story than a straight fuck-fest, although there is certainly plenty of room for ALL types of sex. Consensual, bondage, rape, lesbian, degrading, gay if preferred, regular... etc. Oh, the setting should be seen as approximately the societal level of ancient Rome, and has magic. That being said, magic is more folk-magic and a little sorcery than high fantasy high powered stuff. Mythic creatures and monsters do exist, if they are ever needed. This is an open thread, and anyone is welcome - especially, but not limited to, new comers. I particularly welcome any creative thinkers who can add to the plotline.

IC: As with many planets, the women of Earth believe themselves to be victims of institutionalised sexism. Those claims are true, but if they knew what had happened on Amyera, their cries may have been stifled. For Amyera, one thousand years ago, suffered the man-plague. This disease killed nearly all the men of Amyera, leaving just one man per one hundred women. Further, it affected women too, making them give birth almost exclusively to daughters, so that there would never be a chance for the gender percentages to level off. The third affect was somewhat harder to notice at first, but perhaps more devastating to the women of Amyera than any of the other two. No longer was it possible for men to achieve either erection or orgasm unless they truly desired it. Women were a disposable asset; It was absolutely necessary to please men. With the threat of the eradication of all of humanity, it was only a matter of time before women were effectively subjugated to men. Even once powerful matriarchies had soon lost all rights for their women.

Some women were slaves, and all women were raised to keep men satisfied. However, to say they were powerless would be wrong. Men, throught their ambition and their petulance, took the roles of leaders of the world. Lords, nobles, kings. However, there were not enough men to run things any more. Most work now was woman's work. Farming, finance, business, the armed forces. Women came to know that even as the second-in-command to any man, they were still capable of being in command.

The battle of the sexes was taken to the nursery, where several women tried to raise boys who would be docile and easy to please, allowing them to maintain and extend their own power. Men, meanwhile, with more free time, focused much of it on raising their sons to be dominant and keep power. The situation bred dissent, and among some of society, rebellion. Some men, finding either joy in a mutual relationship with their women, wished to see the patriarchy end. Some of the women, resentful of their place, tried to find a way to overcome the need to please men. None had much success up to now.

My name is Kareth van Goven. I am Liege Lord of the nation of Shivenlar, head of the Shivenlar Legemany or ruling body. Today is a good day. Right now, my house slaves are preparing me to attend the games. I have two gladiators ready for the fight today. One is new, the other the survivor of four fights already. Hopefully I will make some money from their combats.

OOC: I hope this attracts a number of writers - lots of scope for many different kinds of characters. Also, I would like to take this chance to thank SweetP and Lacewing for disputing the basis of this story and, hopefully, making it stronger.

OOC: oooooooooh like this more. More room for trouble :D

Charactor: Gladiator. 5'10"
She was dumped into the rings when she was young. Barely 15, and managed to survive because she was taken under wing by some of the other ladies. She joined the underground revulution of women tired of being treated like so much cattle. She's 25 now.

Dark Brown hair and nearly black eyes. Her skin is darker, likely of asian background.

IC:

She walked out into the areana. Crowds cheered and there she saw, the elete the males. Her eyes narrowed. Bastard sword in hand she rested it on her single armored shoulder. Her clothing was ment to show off her figure and perhaps turn on her viewers to her long lean frame were mussles rippled over every aspect of her. She smiled a bit at the fact even her breasts were rock hard.

Tossing her long braid she felt the whip of some of the items inserted to make it a weapon as well scratching bits of her skiin.

She was ready for a fight today. Syched to make herself hate the world. Her first battle in this areana.

OOC: Er, Lacey - Lit maintains an 18 yr-old minimum age for characters. Sorry. Wasn't sure if you are saying your char went into the arena at 15, which is fine, or is now 15, which lit wouldn't like.

King Xerces II:

OOC: A terrific plotline and, as you said BF, wide open to lots. Can you better define the "folk magic and a little sorcery' for me. Is it like herb healing, shamanism and driudic with some small spells like "light or continous light" type added?
Hope this fits in BF.

IC:
The ruler of the adjacent kingdom to Shivenlar. Freeland is across a river nearly as wide as our Mississippi, but without any bridges do to it's depth and very swift current. However, there are ferries that cross it via the tried and true method of being pulled side to side by cables on drums on either side. The method of turning these enormous drums varies from slave labor to animal power.

I have succeeded my father as King of the land. He was the target of a female plot and assassinated. The plotters were caught and interrogated. None were missed and I presided over both the interrogations and subisquent executions. The latter were done publically as an object lesson and all of the population that lived within a two day journey were required to attend.
It took the strongest of the murdering bitches three days to die. As she died I made a pronouncement to the assembled masses that would be carried to every city, town and hamlet within the realm.

"Fellow Freelanders, with you, I grieve for my father. I don't revel in the death of the murders, but neither do I shun the need to execute them in the most horrible manner conceivable for regicide is intolerable and threatens the very foundations of our country.
"From this day forward I am offering a reward for the arrest, trial and conviction of any plotters against the throne or realm.
"If the accusers are found to be making false accusations they will take the place of their innocent victims so take warning. If the charges are vaild you will be rewarded, BUT if they are found to be false you will be in their place for interrogation and execution."

There I paused to let everything I'd just said sink in and then continued...

"Now in memory of my beloved father and our slain king I declare a three day holiday. One day of celebration for every day it took that last bitch and assassin to die.
"There will be games at the arena today and tomorrow and races the third day.
For this afternoon and night I decree all the drinks consumed are on the King after that you buy your own *I laughed as I said that*
"Let the Celebration Begin!"

The cheers were tumultuous as were cries of "Gods save the King", "Hail to the King" and "Hail King Xerces, Hail Freeland".

I retired to the Palace and my chambers. Two of my favorite slave girls were waiting me there and congradulated me on my speech.

I acknowledged the praise and gave them both the choice of joining the celebration or remaining with me. Without pause or hesitation they said they prefered to spend the time with me.

I walked to the balcony that overlooked the back garden and sat watching the festivities and reading over the "spell book" that had been Mother's and that she'd used to teach me my lessons in the arcane arts.

IC:

Waking from my nap, It was time for me to venture out again as I was assigned to watch over another leader. There was rumors amoung his staff that some woman was slighted and did not get his attention or child she had been 'assured' she would receive. So I had another task at hand.

My single bedroom apartment was given to me by a king as long as I served him well and did my job. He was assinated, and another leader took over highering me to do this job.

It wasn't a glorified job, it wasn't pleasant and down right hard to bow down at times to their judgement when I knew mine was more accurate. But I was raised to listen and do as bidden, no matter how much I hated it. It wasn't so terrible as it seems, but sometimes there was one or two corrupt men using their power to bend the wills of those around him. It was hard to stomach, but I did it and I was proud of myself for remaining detached from this situation.

I knew I would never be a mother, nor would I fight amoungst them for the attention neither. I resigned myself to this position as a means of keeping busy in a crazy world. I would go out, make sure security was as it should be, bow and leave onto the next leader who needed me. It wasn't much but it was alot less hetic than some of the other jobs in this world. And worse yet I could have been a slave.

Shuddering at the thought, I showered and dressed in a nice flowing dress. Today was my day off, I was going to watch the Gladiators battle it out in the arena. Braiding my hair, I left my home and headed for the dome.

OOC: To all.

I've edited my post so that there are games 'today and tomorrow and races on the third day'. *G*

To Mira: Is your 'house' on Palace Grounds?

OOC: Sorry! she's in her 20's now. She started fighting at 15. I forgot to mention that...

King Xerces:

As I sat looking from my book to the grounds, I saw Captain Mira, out of uniform, walking across the grounds toward the front gate.

"Captain Mira," I called out.

She didn't seem hear so I called louder, "Captain Mira!"

She looked up, then turned and bowed.

"Captain, would you come here please, I have several things to ask you."

I sat back down again and returned to my spell book as I waited.

Hearing my name shouted out, I turned and caught sight of the King. Bowing quickly I waited for instructions.
He bid me to come speak with him, so I hurried along the path to find out if something was wrong?
"You had need of me Your Majesty?" I stood with head bowed as was required and waited. I wondered briefly if perhaps some of the guards I had hired were slacking off in their duties or if I had made some kind of error and was not aware of it?

King Xerces:

"Sit Captain. I have questions for you.
"Would you like any refreshment, after all I'm am stopping you from joining the celebration," I said with a smile.

THe gladiator waited for her opponate the areana cheering around her their vioces drowned by the pounding in her blood as the other woman came into the areana, armed with a spiked ball at the end of a cain attached to a gauntlet. Her face hidden by a mask of armor the two women squared off against eachother reading for the single vioce they both would hear. THe ok to battle.

Mira

Moving into the chair I glanced up and met his eyes.
"Yes Sir. A glass of water please." I sat quietly, wondering what he would have to question me about?
"What is it you wish to know Your Majesty?" I sat quietly, hands in lap, mind going a million miles an hour to make sure I did nothing to warrant being dismissed from my duties or punished. As was normal habit, perfection was a flaw in me, but I seen it as a talent and it got things done right the first time.

King Xerces:

"You heard my speech today. I want your honest opinion of what I said about a reward.
"No bull shit, no beating around the bush. Tell me what you think."

Looking back into the room at Kit, "Water for the Captain Kit. Now please."

Mira

"Well your Majesty..I believe it to be a fair and just proposition. Rewarded for bringing down the rebellionists, and if found to be liars, punished for trying to gain on someone else's life. But..." I hesitated for a moment wondering how he would like my opinion on this next area..
"But, I dont think they need to be put to death to prove a point because all that will do is raise their skin and make them angrier. What would be better, in my humble opinion, is prisonment until or if ever, they rehabilitate. I know.. I know they mean the men of this world ill will, and wish to hurt them. But they all can't be that stupid not to know the facts. Very few females give births, live birth, to male children. If there is no men in this world, we will all die out. Perhaps some how they can be reached to understand this? Or am I just an optimist?" I sat quietly debating over several things running through my mind.
"And I am sorry for the loss of your father. He was a good man. If I had been working that day that woman would have never gotten to him alive." I fairly growled with anger that the late King was gone. He was so kindly towards me, always there to listen when I would rant at this or that.

King Xerces:

"Thank you for your kind words Mira. Now go on and let's see if you can convince me that of how this rehabilitation would be done and how it would work."

The beverages and a tray of fruit and cheese arrived.

"Thank you now you may relax unless one of us summons you again."

OOC: Someone to play the slaves would be niiiiice. *lil grin*

Mira

"Education? I am at a loss here, it is a good idea if done right. Perhaps these women just need educated? Perhaps put into a military type prison and taught better..Alright bad idea. Perhaps just shoot them and get it over with?" I chuckled at this, it was hard, I did not know how these women thought.
"I wish I knew how they thought and what they felt to get a better grasp of this situation. But unable to think like them, see their reasons for this rebellion, I am afraid I am just useless in rehabilitation department. Perhaps if our armies caught one alive you could question her? Or another female could question her and find their reasons behind all of this?" I sipped my water, thinking over that plan. It was a possibility. If one captured and questioned, ro asked to defend themselves, perhaps they would talk?
I mentioned that to the King. "If they have a chance to explain Why, maybe we could get inside their heads a little better? personally I think they are all brain dead to rebell against a very controlled society."

King Xerces:

"Mira, what are your plans for the day and night? Any committments?
"If not I think you and I may be a bit busy tonight and perhaps when it's over you may have a new title and job to do.
"You've given me a few ideas."

Mira

"Well Your Majesty, I have the day and night off so I was going to attend the Gladiator's fights. Watch her, she's very talented with weapons. But not something I really have to do, I just wanted to enjoy my day. When what is over?" He caught me by surprise with his last statement.
"And what did you have in mind for a new job? I do have to say I am content in the position I am in Your Majesty." Not that I would have a choice in the matter if he fired me, but I was still free.

"When the talk is over and time will tell if that new 'position' becomes available along with a substantial pay increase of course.
"That will depend on you."

Mira

"Well then carry on Your Majesty. What is this Position entail?" I sat back in the chair, drinking my water and watching him. Trying to figure out what exactly was on his mind was never easy compared to his father. "Do you need my healing abilities? I am not sure what I am qualified to do other than security work and healing."

King Xerces:

My eyes wandered freely up and down your body, draped in the attractive, but light fabic dress.

Chuckling I said, "Now I rather doubt that Mira, but that's not what I had in mind for a new job for you. I was thinking about what you'd said and it's definitely security related I assure you."

Mira

I watched as his looked me up and down, flushing a moment I held my tongue, not daring to say a word on that look.
"Security work? Well alright, tell me more please?" I would keep this business as always, and find out exactly what he was trying to talk me into. Too presuasive for his own good, I was tempted to chuckle. That would not be good, get me into hot water laughing at the King.
I cocked a brow and waited for him to spill the beans.
"Is there a reason you hesitate to tell me Your Majesty? Is it dangerous perhaps?"

King Xerces:

"Before I tell you I have several questions and some are extremely personal, but it's information I need before I elaborate. Are you willing to be very open and totally honest with me?
"If not it's alright and you haven't placed your position within the Palace bodyguard in jeapordy. Only incompetence can do that."
