Amused and confused.

So, I submitted an edited version of Chapter 1 of Falling - it was pointed out, after I had originally posted the first ten chapters, that I had jumped right into the story without introducing the band for those not familiar with their music. *laughs, shaking head* I'm obviously a natural blonde, right? Actually, Falling was originally posted on the HIM fanfic forum, so I didn't need to introduce the band, and I completely forgot about it when I started posting it here.

Today I slip into my submissions page, and find that the edit has been rejected... WHY? Apparently, spelling errors.

I ran the damn thing through four separate* spell checkers, not one of which could find a misspelling (with the exception of the Finnish names and a couple of deliberate dialogue/dialect misspellings.) I added two more paragraphs worth of detailing, punching the story up just a little more, and then resubmitted it.

Sometimes, I wonder what kind of tobacco that those in charge of accepting/denying submissions are smoking...

Just thought I'd share my amusement at being rejected for my lack of spelling errors.

(And then, ironically, I make one while posting this. DOH!)

*laughs* See? I'm hopeless today. Ah well, I can't really get too worked up over it, considering everything that has been going on the last three weeks or so.
