I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this means......I like to watch folks the way they act, talk, body language....the whole deal you can tell alot by the way they play with there hair or chew there fingernails........

But ok here it is and I would love to hear what they claim is the reason.......I do this and many friend do to when you miss upper case and lower case in the same word ........My boss is the same way......I heard at one time that means something and would love to find out what.........

Anyone have a clue?

"..when you miss upper case and lower case in the same work..

I would like to know what you're talking about.
Did you misspell 'word'? How can you miss both the upper and lower case in a word? You have to write in one or the other - there's no middle ground.

When hand printing work orders or anything do you write using caps and lower case where they don't belong?????.................

when i worked at a petroleum transfer station wewere trained to do the billing, recipets etc. in all upper case because it was usually neater and easier to read for the book work.

Yes Todd, I can understand that ......This is whiout meaning to or trying to....Involuntary doing this .........like making all your "E" capitals anywhere they appear...look around many in life do this.............You would be suprised

i think i know what you mean now.

when i write normal i make my n and p capitalized but the same size as the lower case. come the think of it I do that with my e as well.

so seeing nope i would hand write it NoPE but all letters would be the size of lower case letters.

is this what you mean?

Hey I dot the same thing some times... makes reading my writting alot easier.. :D

When I write I sometimes half print and half write a word. Usually the first letter is printed and the rest are written. Also, on words that have a descending letter I will print the next letter in the word (eg. night - the h will be printed). However, I only do this occasionally.

jcgirl Your post cracked me up. ROFL.

I think it just means you're stupid Wiz. You still use too many fucking periods too.

I am a teacher of kindergarten and first grade where kids learn to print. Most 4 and 5 year olds have undeveloped small motor control, so it's no surprise that they often learn to write their capitals first at home. Most capital letters are made with straight lines. And once a writing habit is established, it's almost impossible to break.

Most likely people write with a mixture of upper and lower case letters because some letters are just easier to make one way or the other. For example, the lower case 'e' is much easier to make than the upper case. Once you're out of elementary school, no one really gives a rat's ass about your penmanship, as long as it's legible. So, a lot of people probably don't bother trying to make sure their printing is up to teacher's standards.

Those are ellipses, not periods.

You should set off names from the rest of the sentence with a comma. (I think it just means you're stupid, Wiz.)

Get a spine, you cowardly troll, and consider own lack of writing skill before accusing someone of being stupid. Or, shut the fuck up.

I know I'm gonna get flamed for this but, I'm sick, I don't care, so oh well. Technically and ellipse is three periods in a row. Not more, not less, just three of them.

lilfrk...my spell check agrees with you...

I am addicted to my "........." button. It's a way to keep a thought or an idea going...and I use it constantly... My spellcheck goes nuts everytime I edit a story and usually end up getting one too many here and there... LOL

I "write" for a living (waitress) and have what some refer to as a doctor's scribble, I have to rely on my memory sometimes as my writing is very illegibile (even to myself...*sigh*). When writing letters, I tend to print all in capitals. Thank goodness they created typewriters and computers!

I won't flame ya. Yes, technically you're right. Three dots. If there are four, and there can be, it's an elipsis and a period. I just didn't want to make Wizzie feel bad.

Kadee, you don't need the ...... to keep an idea flowing. People can make the transition mentally. :)

Give me a break...

Hey I overuse ellipses all the time. And I may have three…four….five…..six….or fifty dots.

For example:

Hey..........does anal-retentive have a hyphen?

;) MP

A few things here ........One I like my periods.........

Two........At lunch today at a local restruant, I ran into one of the town therapist and ask her..........She told me it is a sign of insecurity form something........Go figure in todays day and age I must be insure about something.......

And yes, I bet I started doing in school and do it every so often.

for technical writing...I'll use them right

but for BB stuff, I use them to illustrate what I'm saying and how I'm saying it.
........might represent a long pause that comes in the middle of a thought. Anything else, hyphens, dashes, smilies that help to make my words clear is good in my eyes :)

Okay, if anyone should be bitched at for the use of periods...it is ME, not Wizzie !

:p
