Amo is gone

I was notified today that Amo had to be put down. He lived to be 13, a ripe age for a big dog.

RIP Amo.

Amo washed out of war dog school (hips). But he got far enough into the program to have learned most of what they taught. The rougher you played with Amo, the rougher he played back. He'd match you move for move. You couldn't dominate Amo, he'd follow you out of respect and for no other reason.

13 is a decent innings. you've a lot of years of good memories - pets give us so much. losing them can feel like the end of a era.
