When the pic comes up, righ clip and select "save picture as"-- if you can put it in a folder, otherwise just save it.

Let me know when you've gotten that far, because I'm assuming that this will work on your computer same as it does on mine.

sighs, and groans, my abject apologies to Snp, I was called upon to babysit with no notice, as sometimes happens and when I returned, I had bells and whistles but no video/monitor, $109.00 for new video card....

I have saved the sized pic you sent, thank you....what next?

Ok- I only meant to make you wait a little while before replying and then I kept forgetting.

Ok, here's what you do. Make sure that your pics are saved where you can find them. If you don't have many pics that's fine, if you have a bunch put them in a folder that says "Amicus AV" or something. Whatever works.

Now- go to your control panel. Then go to edit options. At the bottom is a section called "other options" go to 'add avatar' or 'change avatar' or whatever it says.

When it gets to that page, click *yes on custom avatar, press "browse" find your chosen av from your pictures, double click on it, then hit 'submit modifications'

It's a lot easier than it sounds.
