My 12 year old daughter got me hooked when Clay Aiken was on, and now I'm still watchin' it, season after season...

My roommate's dinner guest wanted to watch Bones, so I ended up catching the last 5+ minutes of American Idol tonight.

Man, I would say half of the guys are pretty bad. I thought the last guy was pretty mediocre, but then I saw clips from his competition. Sheesh, oversinging and poor song selection left and right.

There were a couple stand-outs. But is this the best they can do from the thousands of auditions they get? Maybe I'm just too picky about pop music.

Don't be telling me anything, I *sad admission* watch American Idol. I'm not totally addicted, but theres one night, Saturday i think, there there's just nothing else on TV. I don't watch the auditions - it's all the same ol' same ol' over and over again, but I enjoy half watching the proper competition. It's better than the X factor thing we've taken too over in the UK now, I much prefered the original Pop Idol thing.

I tend to want to punch Seacrest and often agree with Simon Cowell -I had a disturbing dream about him dominating me once...*shudder*

I watch bones too, early in the first series over here right now, mostly to drool over David Borenaz it has to be admitted....

I've never seen it ... nor Survivor ... nor any reality TV show other than Gilligan's Island.

The girls haven't impressed me this season, much... My fav girl is Katherine, although I love Mandisa and Paris, too...

The guys: CHRIS! *panting* Oh. My. God. Be still my heart.

Ace is beautiful, but almost TOO... and doesn't have the confidence Chris does.
I also have a sweet, soft spot in my heart for Taylor Hicks, who is so damned weird, but moves me anyway... gotta love a guy with gray hair on AI!
Gideon can SING, I admit it... but his hair and his smile, I'm sorry... if the man shaved his head, he would look a little less like Buckwheat when he smiled, and maybe I could got on board...

I can't wait until the real competition starts... I want to hear Chris try to sing Disco songs...
