Cool. Plot Bunny anyone?

CAIRO -- In a rare find, Egyptian and Swiss archaeologists have unearthed a roughly 1,100 year-old tomb of a female singer in the Valley of the Kings, an antiquities official said Sunday....The singer's name, Nehmes Bastet, means she was believed to be protected by the feline deity Bastet.

Why don't you turn around and let Stella, paddle your behind?

Bastet was on lead guitar, right?

aaaaaaand my brain went straight to "Xena: Warrior Princess." I think Michael Hurst directed an episode like this....

Were her gold records buried with her? Her Grammy maybe? :D

She must have been good, or have had wealthy admirers, to be able to afford the funeral costs.

I suspect someone else paid for them, wanting her there and near enough to sing for the kings in the after life.

Then I would have expected her to be buried in an ante-chamber of a king's tomb, and not on her own.

But, whatever the explanation, she must have been an exceptional woman and a great singer.

At least no one suggested that her greatest hit was "Walk Like An Egyptian".
